During the lockdown in April 2020 I learned the magic of mixing myself. Searching the internet, spending hours and hours, even spending nights practicing. My debut was a 15 minute set on ZUCO tv. Soon a second set of an hour on ZUCO tv. After that I was allowed to play in Dollar in Ninove, and soon many other bookings came to me. I was allowed to play in different places like Lebbeke, Dilbeek, Ghent, Anderlecht. La Rocca And now also weekly on Radio Bataklank. I am also resident dj for the awesome Secret Cinema. I started mixing with Deep House, Melodic House and Progressive House, But after a while the love for Techno came out. Love to play Techno with acid tunes and also TechnoRetro. The love for music was born. And I realised the most important …. MUSIC IS THE MEDICINE!! 🥳🥳🥳

I was born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1969 under my real name Erik de Smet. So I've seen the house and trance scene evolve from the new beat era in the front row and this at my favorite clubs La Rocca, Cherry Moon, Extreme,...in Belgium.
In my twenties I lived next to the record store “Blitz”, home of Bonzaï records, where I came every week to buy my records together with the DJ legends from the golden era. 
My DJ career in the 90's was limited to playing in youth clubs and at private parties until digital media made its appearance and I pressed the pause button (for 20 years…)
Thanks to the Monkeys,  I got the bug again to practice my passion further and started playing exclusively with vinyl again.

My style has evolved in the meantime and is mainly leaning towards the Progressive house/trance style, especially from the period 1990-2007. As an avid vinyl record collector, I still discover new things among the classics every day. I am happy that I can share my passion with others and let everyone relive those golden times and magic moments from the past era.

TESS is a Belgium based female dj who started playing housemusic in local bars & small events at the age of 16.

After a little break and some finetuning to improve her skills she was determined to take it to the next level.
From that point it went very fast...

She started playing at quality events and festivals such as Tomorrowland, La Rocca, Cafeína, Disco Dasco and much more...

Nowadays her musical style is 100% Melodic House & Techno and that caught the attention of the mighty Bonzai Records.

In 2024 she signed a contract, becoming a part of that legendary institution.

Wherever you hear and see her play, you’ll just know and feel how much she loves spinning as she takes you to the dancefloor.
