Dilly- noun one that is remarkable or outstanding. I am the quintessential personification of this word and thus that is why I am Dilly. My music takes the adjective form of Dilly, by being delightful but with the spin of depth. My life started in California a state of 33, 871, 548 individuals. Nevertheless, in the ten years I lived there, I developed into a stand out person who could shine amongst millions. “A true embodiment of raw talent and incredible potential” is what I was deemed to be shortly after my first time in the studio at the young age of 19. I recently became the label mate for “Untamed Musicians Inc.” This opportunity to branch out beyond being a musician into the production and business realm are proving to be an exciting and thoughtful experience. Since I first grabbed a pen at 17 I knew that music was not only an outlet for my creativity but an identity. Through my work on “Shopping in Plaza” (2007), mix tape features on “Detox Volume 1 &2” (2008), and most recently “Chinese Kitchen” (2009); I have grown into the well rounded musical talent that I am today. This experience in the booth will prove to be not only influential for my other musical endeavors but vital.Although, I have had the great opportunity to work with various artist the most memorable would be the Tallahassee Producer, “Finger Printz.” His ability to produce quality sound consistently was a constant encouragement. The demo tape we collaborated on contained songs such as, “Oh Oh Oh” which had one of my now coined phrases, “This is the Dill let me explain about my skills,” and “Road so Hard” which has a verse that has become a mantra of mine “Amongst the Others I am the Difference.” These songs were featured on the “Chinese Kitchen” mix tape that was released at a hyped time in Tallahassee, FL; FAMU homecoming, which was done to increase the audience reach. My goal is to continue to have an impact as a musician/songwriter on the Hip-Hop and R&B musical communities
