I've realized that I haven't had enough time to produce music which is why I got into this in the first place. Feed Me Disco | Vol. 18

Five years ago when I decided to purchase my first copy of Ableton  I never thought I’d be where I am today running my own record label and having had the chance to tour throughout North America and play on festival stages.  My passion for music turned into a second career over the years (doubling as a cancer dietitian by day) and I was thriving off of every experience I had, thanks to the support of my family, friends, and fans.  

Among all the growth I found myself fatigued from juggling both careers these past several months.  I felt like every obstacle became tougher to overcome and it was more difficult to find inspiration to write.   

Then a few weeks ago I lost my best friend to cancer.  I’ve never experienced such a loss of someone so close to me in my lifetime.  So right now I’m learning to cope with her loss and am working on finding my direction.  

Even in my silence, so many of you have taken a moment to remind me how much you love my music – sharing your memories and favorite songs.  These things mean so much to me.  I was reminded this weekend that life wouldn’t be worth living if there weren’t any challenges and obstacles.  So I’m not going to let these challenges get in the way.

Music is a part of who I am, it brings me happiness in life and it’s something I want to continue to share with you forever.  So at last, I give you a brand new installment of Feed Me Disco including two unreleased remixes of my own.  For those of you in DC, please join me this Saturday the 16th at U Street Music Hall along with DC staple Ozker and a special guest.
