Mantic is a Romanian DJ trio composed of Oxy, Andrei Fig, and Cristea. Their journey began with a strong friendship and a shared love for music, particularly evident during their electrifying back-to-back performances that have lit up countless house gatherings. It was amidst this high-energy atmosphere that the concept of the trio was born. With the seamless addition of Cristea, the trio evolved into a tight-knit unit, embarking on a serious and unified musical endeavour. What sets Mantic apart is their ability to blend their individual musical backgrounds and influences into a signature sound that transcends genre boundaries. Their chemistry as artists allows them to continuously push creative boundaries and explore new musical horizons. We even hosted a recent mix of theirs from a session from Brasov in Romania. "I think it has something with genetics. I have been drawn to music all my life, although my parents, both musicians, didn’t approve of it when I was a child, because they were afraid it would not bring me material success. For me, music is a light that I want to strive for. I am inspired by the music of other musicians, and create my music based on what I listen to, and hopefully inspire someone else as well. When I play in clubs and people like it there is an exchange of energy happening, my soul is alive at that moment and it’s like a path to something light. It’s spiritual growth in a way and that’s what you want to strive for. It’s a difficult time. Because of the war me and my family had to go abroad, our city was occupied in the first days of the war. My flat and my parents’ house were both destroyed. My family and I had to flee to save our lives. And music is the outlet for my feelings." - @Dibe

Xuacu, born in 1989 in Balcarce, Buenos Aires, Argentina, started DJing at 14. He has performed at numerous venues including Muzik Club, Pacha Buenos Aires, and Club Quba. He is associated with record labels like Mind&Vision (Romania), Minimal Movement Ltd. (Holland), Aguaysed (Chile), and others. Xuacu has worked with international artists like Barac and Luc Ringeisen, and shared stages with local artists such as Bodeler and Andrés Zacco. His current music focuses on resonant frequencies and minimal house elements.

Why So Serious

The French DJ and producer Leiris (Minibar) steps up for the fourth installment of our Ponytales mix series.
Filled with dusty vinyl warmth and dubbed out accents, this mix spans sounds from catchy percussion rollers to grinned out acid basslines. 

Currently based in Berlin, Leiris first fell in love with minimal house and techno in the 90's with main influences Robert Hood, Daniel Bell & Melchior and over the past years he acquired a huge record collection ob top of his impressive mixing skills.
His DJ sets are known to be groovy, unexpected and full of musical treasures. Headlining on a festival or in a club and keeping it going on the after party, Leiris knows how to catch the crowd’s attention with his point on selection and continuous energy. He regularly plays at Club der Visionaere “official”& Hoppetosse, had gigs in other classic venues such as CONCRETE & Tresor.Berlin (OFFICIAL) and also performed at several festivals including Sonar OFF & ADE.

His releases are also steadily growing: the 'Procrastination EP' on Minibar-Music with his beloved friend and partner in crime Ben Vedren. Together they form a duo that plays live as 'Monkey Nenufar', with their first releases being on their own imprint Reduce Records as well as Cosmo Records and Discobar. Leiris' latest releases have landed on Ruis, The Rooted Series and Rotate.
