We have another sonic delight for you (including track list), this time from Heliopora.

Heliopora is an artist whose name brings to mind sun, deep sea, and coral reefs, brings us an aquatic sound journey inspired by his diving experiences and long record of mixing out in nature. Co-Founder of Melifera Records, a French-based record label and events organiser, his music seeps a life lived between the blue coast and the foothills of the Alps.

Heavily influenced by dub techno, this ambient-esque set in particular evokes those moments when you enter into a new world filled with deep blue hues, the rays of light glistening through, shining onto the fish, algae and anemone surrounding you. It recreates those tangible moments as your head goes under water, the sound around you changes, and the salt prickles your skin.

On the 5th Day Podcast #146 - Heliopora

We are more than excited to present to you our first guest mix in behave of the 'Herbarium' series, recorded by the wonderful @dycide. It reveals one side of the organic and groovy vision of this new born label in form of broken techno vibes as well as driving Drumandbass.
The artwork displays an 'Antirrhinum', a flower which is also known as the dragon flower. It presents itself in its full beauty during July and impresses with its colourful blossoms. This plant is really powerful - it always comes back, even after really cold winters. The seeds are more than ready to sprout anywhere as soon as the warm season begins. The mix and the flower are both radiating pure strength and at the same time soft and gentle textures, a lovely combination and the perfect starting point for QEONE.

Electronic musician, guitarist, Sun Dawei is a very active Chinese musician.
He started learning to play guitar at the age of fourteen and then set up a punk band, which became the catalyst for him to open the music gate.Settled in Beijing in 1999, then began the research and creation, electronic music and punk band legend in China "underground baby" as the band music arranger and guitarist, at the same time began to dabble in Fashion Show, movies, drama and jingles.For the first time in 2003 in China's famous record company in the name Of Sulumi "modern sky" albums "Air Inhibition Of Water", this is his first formal experimental electronic music show, the original technique to build a new music, present a different way to express the heart.

In the same period, he also created the personal music label "Shanshui Records", and published dozens of electronic music Records in 10 years.Together with many domestic and foreign electronic musicians, the independence and music parallelism, promote the Chinese electronic music revolution.

In the next few years, I began to explore the Chiptune style.Using Game Boy and
Nanoloop music software, it is known as "China's 8bit first person" and its music is
deeply popular.In 2008, he was invited to the "Blip Festival", the world's largest
electronic music Festival in New York.In the meantime, the music of this period is more mature and shows the spirit of Chiptune music. After that, people from all circles are attracted to it.The publication of "The Heaven" has made his personal music career leap.He has made a series of Remix works, including the Brain Failure, New Pants, The Gar, EeL, Jeans Team, Snoop Lion, Kid606 and Zaliva-d. In all Remix works, he has his own unique style.

In 2013, Shanshui Records was reorganized, based on Ambient music and the minimalist Techno style. Integrated with rock attitude, world view and modern consciousness, the melody is transformed into a melody, abstracting consciousness and hiding the pursuit. He then moved to Japan and released his new album "Unconsciousness" by VICE CHINA in 2015.Bring new sound concepts and melodies -- more and more steady rhythm and dark line of melody line, always around the rock core stealthily, music melody avoids joy and sorrow. Unbiased, moving in time. Around the album tour held in several cities in China, he put his signature style to the new dimension of performance and deep inside the body sound in the dark with the light, guide you to return to the real world.

After several metamorphoses, to explore different Spaces, he announced his new project - CTAFAD. In music, you can hear "there's not a lot of modified original timbre, like atmospheric pressure, ambitious ultrasound experiments. Finally, an epic core sound field is carefully polished.The rhythm and the bass line from the beginning is proficient in the interaction, gradually unfolded and never went out.

Emotion is a complex psychological construct that involves a wide range of feelings, moods, and behaviours. Emotions can be positive or negative, ranging from intense to subtle. Nostalgia, as an emotion, is a type of longing or wistfulness often associated with positive memories and feelings.
There are several ways in which nostalgia and emotion can be connected to the present. For example, people often use nostalgia to cope with complicated feelings or situations in the present. By reminiscing about happy times in the past, individuals can find comfort and solace in their memories and feel a sense of connection to the past.
Additionally, nostalgia can serve as a source of inspiration and motivation. By looking back on past experiences and the things that brought us joy or fulfilment, we can gain insights and ideas for creating meaningful experiences in the present.
Overall, nostalgia and emotion are closely connected, as nostalgia is often an emotional response to memories or reminders of the past. By understanding and connecting with our nostalgia and feelings, we can better understand ourselves and our motivations and find ways to bring meaning and joy to our present lives.

Bio/
Hailing from the Czech Republic and now based in Scotland, Marek Bartunek would end up around electronic music in his late twenties. From there, he would co-found Cellar Door Records and Liminal Spaces, venturing into sounds he found most interesting. Being crafted by the neverending presence of music in his family and the failed adventures to become good at any instrument, Marek has finally landed his interests within deep repetitive mind-bending music.

This spring, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to 
discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute 
to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive 
rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Franco De lafore known as Delafore is a young argentinian artist from Buenos Aires. Since 2021 he began his journey making music characterized by the search for an abstract, introspective and original sound that combines both the most hypnotic and minimalist influences of dance music as well as the most ambient and experimental away from the dancefloor.

My name is Craft and this week we present Daasnomem from Washington DC.

He is a producer and dj who focuses on the deeper side of techno with dark hypnotic soundscapes in his mixes and productions. He is in the field of sound engineering at University of Maryland and has an interest in acoustic ecology as well as a background in classical music. His connection with music is constantly growing and has been releasing quality podcasts and performing at several showcases. This set was recorded at the Sequence event in DC last weekend. He also hosts techno parties around D.C. by the name of Lost and has recently started a deep techno collective called The Vortex. He is also working to push the underground scene in Karachi, Pakistan, his hometown.

Quick shout to all those who came to our Twice as Proper 10-year anniversary event last weekend at Tilt basement and afterhours. The 16-hour showcase featured Dorian Gray, Headliner, Shadi, Chanski, Aphelion and myself and we want to thank all the artists and supporters for the past 260 shows because we couldn’t have done it without you.

Jenny Arredondo is a true Techno enthusiast. A music and dance-floor lover. A crazy healthy raver that would dance for hours and hours to proper Techno beats and bass. She is known as the "Dancing Queen" in the underground NYC Techno scene and around the world. Her passion for music has no limits; she has music in her blood.
 Jenny's music exploration journey began in 2012, and she plays and produces Deep Techno, Ambient and Electronica under the names "Headliner" and "La Guru". Her album "Techno Inquisition" was released on November 16th 2013 and her second album “Ubiquitous” was released on December 28th 2014. Her release "Dark Invader" was included in the compilation REGENERATION by the Spanish label Doppt Zykkler//Series on June 15th, 2015. Her track Headliner - Planck Epoch was included in the (DE19) Deep Diversity Vol. 3 - Deep Electronics Compilation released on November 5th, 2015. Her first EP "Rose Red Wounds" was released on July 16th 2021 also on the dutch label Deep Electronics. Her latest release "A New Hope" was a contribution to the Mastoid Kollektive - PINK in support of breast cancer and was featured along other tracks by amazing techno and house legends.
 She organized underground techno events in New York for almost a decade and also hosted events in Detroit, Mexico City, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Playa del Carmen. In 2015, Headliner also became part of Female Pressure, an international network of female artists in electronic music and digital arts founded by Electric Indigo. You will often find her listening and discovering new tracks and artists, also at Techno events having the time of her life.
