John Braine is an Irish DJ and producer who’s been part of the UK and Irish underground electronic scene since the ’90s. Recently, he’s been recording, performing, and creating visual art under the name Trontsephore. His music has appeared on labels such as Headspace, Emoticon, Scart, Psychonavigation, and Front End Synthetics.
His track Shmegly received amazing feedback from Andrew Weatherall on its release, and Carl Cox played the Funk D’Void remix of Trontsephora to hundreds of thousands of ravers at the 1998 Love Parade.
John has a broad range of musical tastes, with a particular love for deep, dubby, and trippy sounds that sit somewhere between electro, breaks, and electronica — whether it’s peak dancefloor vibes or slower, immersive headfeed for an open-minded Sunday morning radio show.
He is also one-third of @Pint Window Productions, the crew that brings ALFOS to Dublin every year, among other events.
