To introduce @janefitz as a legend of the scene borders on understatement. The UK selector has earned an almost cult-like following born out of her annual sets at Freerotation festival, co-founding London’s Night Moves parties (with good friend Jade Seatle - @jade-green), a more recent residency at revered club the Pickle Factory, a monthly show on @rinsefm, and a pre-pandemic touring schedule that took in countless clubs and festivals the world over. She herself admits to being committed to the scene for life, driven by a deep appreciation of the music above all else – and a constant desire to surprise both herself and her audience equally.

For her Patterns of Perception 82, Jane has recreated some of the warmth she felt during her visit to Berlin for a b2b with Eric Cloutier (@cloutier) at our party in November 2019, an event which remains a vivid memory on both sides. The mix features many records collected over the past year of the pandemic and not yet played out, giving it a sense of urgency and an uplifting quality that, for her, recalls an outdoor festival set in better days. “A bit of me was kind of longing for playing on the side of a Japanese mountain again or for all those festivals you do in the summer,” she says. “I wanted to have people stomping on a forest floor.”

For the 15th edition of Moment's Archives series, we are honored to feature none other than GONNO, who closed out this year’s festival on Sunday evening.

This incredible set is a groovy, euphoric journey, blending spacey melodies, rich textures, and acid basslines pulled from a wide and deep range of genres. Mark Peeters’ self-styled persona Caim exudes good vibes, an aura of love and is a guaranteed good night out. He’s a Dutch producer and jockey with pep in his step, bouncing from club to club, continent to continent, never taking himself too seriously, simply relaying sounds as they come and giving his crowds the fun they came for. Watch him play and there might just be one question left to answer, whether it’s him or those on the other side of his set-up enjoying themselves more. Years into his musical project he’s got the stamina of a newly minted selector, a ‘knob-twitching, crate digging’ beat enthusiast whose sets twist and turn from techno to trance to breakbeat to house. Alongside a residency at Amsterdam’s Breakfast Club and at the helm of his city’s Mood parties, he also runs Lonely Planet Records, a label on which his own EP is set for release on November 15th. The Medusa Hunter is set to be a futuristic, Goa-inspired record where the myths of the past and the bright lights of future converge. Little doubt it’s going to be a banger. Bassiani Podcast 243 brings his stream of references together in a groovy mash up that gently rises and falls, three hours and thirteen minutes of sweet-toothed electronic bliss, a set recorded live during his performance on the Horoom floor back in September.

When I first discovered Donato Dozzy’s early records around 2006, I was immediately captured by the warm and hypnotic feel of his music. From that moment on, I’ve been a big fan of Dozzy’s work, over the years, collecting more and more of his music - from the solo projects and remixes to his well-known collaborations with other great artists. At some point the idea occurred to me: why not paying homage to this great artist in form of a tribute mix? It took me quite a while to bring the idea into reality, but now here it is. During the process of selecting the tracks for the mix, I got the feeling I wanted to create something more geared toward home listening or a walk around the city with headphones. For this reason, I slowed things down a bit and kept the whole mix under 120 bpm.
