Critical Music’s latest powerhouse producer En:vy shifts tempos once again for ‘Alert’, effortlessly reworking his characteristically funk-drenched drum & bass sound within 140bpm.

As demonstrated with the impressively varied ‘Silver Riff’ EP earlier this year, the Austrian producer has little trouble bringing his characteristic ultra-tight grooves and richly layered bass to whatever style he cares to touch.

The tempo might be slower, but ’Alert’ loses none of the raw energy that’s helped rapidly make En:vy’s name - setting dense, gravelly bass oscillations against satisfyingly detuned response tones over a scuffling dubstep rhythm to scratch an itch you never realised you had.
