⚡️⚡️FEENIX ON THE FLY ⚡️⚡️

Ironically the day before I recorded this mix, I was talking to a friend about how I struggle with mixing completely free hand, without any preparation or practice and that I do better when choosing tracks prior and thinking about the journey of the mix and how I’d best mix tracks together. 

The day after this,  I jumped on the decks and just starting playing without any intentions of creating a mix, and after about twenty minutes i realised it was all just somehow coming together, and actually (although not flawless by any means) It felt good whilst doing it. 

I listened back and really liked a lot of it, but I could hear a few mistakes and a few parts that could have been slicker. It wasn’t a perfect mix. But I wanted to get it out there as I liked a lot of the elements and didn’t want to archive it, just because it wasn’t seamless. 

This gave me the idea for “FEENIX ON THE FLY”. I want this to be an ongoing series of mixes that I haven’t pre meditated, haven’t planned, prepared or practiced. Just me jumping on the decks and seeing what I can create! I want to look back through the series and see my progression as a DJ, and show others that you don’t have to be perfect to put your work out there!
