Anabel Arroyo is steadily building a name for herself in the dance music scene. A resident at London’s FOLD, she’s known for high-energy, groove-driven sets that leave dance floors energised.

Originally from Seville, she built her reputation in Madrid, playing alongside leading names in techno and refining a bold, dynamic style. Since relocating to London, her positivity and precision behind the decks have become signature traits—her movements as expressive as the music she plays. Now four years into her FOLD residency, her sets are celebrated for their fluid transitions, infectious rhythms, and lasting impact on the crowd.

Recorded in Málaga, where she’s currently based, this mix captures her favourite sound: high-energy, dance floor-oriented techno.

SHDW is the phantom moniker of Marco Bläsi, a Stuttgart native with a penchant for racing percussions and big room sounds. 2014 saw the beginning of his long-term partnership with like-minded techno dealer Obscure Shape (Luigi Urban), with whom he co-ran the party series and label spin-off From Another Mind. Ten years later and Bläsi has set out on his own journey, building on a decade-long legacy of sounds with just himself, ‘his music, decks, and a mixer’. Following on from his previous label, he founded Mutual Rytm in 2022, an outlet and creative platform focused on putting out the type of expansive techno SHDW’s come to be known for. His signature style a blend of intelligently superimposed and shuffling basslines, blink of an eye beats that elicit movement and social bonds. Unerring prime time techno, Bläsi’s path forward is looking promising, with a surge of Mutual Rytm releases and worldwide dates, the next ten years look set to further build on what he’s achieved since he started out. Bassiani Podcast 267 is a true to type episode from this master of the genre, a sleek and contemporary spate of rumbling kicks, dizzying effects and hedonic vibrations, a chugging and groovy 65 minute edition with SHDW’s fingerprints all over it.

Born and raised in the south of Germany and now based in Berlin for the past four years, Jon H brings a raw and intuitive approach to the booth. His sound is deeply influenced by early 2000s Ostgut releases, blending minimal techno with deep house and classic house elements.

With a subtle yet driving style, his sets are playful, focused, and always rooted in a strong sense of groove and atmosphere. At 28, Jon represents a generation of DJs who move beyond trends, relying instead on instinct and honesty in their musical expression.

No big plans, no roadmap — just a simple philosophy:

I’ve always loved imperfections. They make me feel more connected to whatever it is. Could be a faded polaroid with dust on it, a single cloud in an otherwise clear sky, or a clap that sounds different each time it plays. There’s something about the unpredictability, the raw edges, that makes things feel more real. Especially in music, that’s what draws me in. So when Upperberry reached out, it felt like the right moment to gather tracks that carry that same imperfect energy and to explore my own path through sound, drifting from dub into house. Pocket Candy’s debut EP, Dreamin’, invites listeners into a dreamlike sonic world shaped by vivid imagination and atmospheric depth. The five-track release explores hyperphantasia—a condition characterized by intense mental imagery—through lush, synth-forward tech house compositions and two standout remixes by Copenhagen staples Braver and A.Dixen.

Drawing from dub, ‘80s synth pop, ‘90s tech house, and contemporary textures à la Ilian Tape and Wisdom Teeth, Dreamin’ reflects Pocket Candy’s (aka HAKEEM) background as a DJ and his evolving identity as a producer. This introspective yet dancefloor-conscious debut channels both lucid and non-lucid dreams into tactile soundscapes.
