DISCLAIMER: 
Every time I play in a club or a party, I challenge myself to experiment with different electronic music styles. To keep it interesting and fun for the dancefloor and me, I like to think of my sets as musical journeys and so I never set my playlists in advance. Every DJ has their style. For me, I always go with the flow and select tracks based on the dancefloor's vibe or wherever I wish to take the party. While this is the adrenaline rush I chase (and love), the pressure of what to play next, in the time pressure also sometimes leads to unsuitable track selections and mixing errors - and this is what you might hear in this mix. I was not optimistic about putting this set on Soundcloud; however, I chose against it and embrace the mistakes as "lessons". Here I am presenting you a DJ set in all its natural form, with what some may call 'odd track selections' and some 'mixing errors'; I hope you can overlook them and enjoy this mix nonetheless. Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?

Disco, Funky & House Musik. Ich habe nie Musik studiert. Ich habe auch keine Ahnung von Musiktheorie. Leidenschaft und Geschmack für gute Musik wären die Zutaten für mein Menu.

Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?

In einem einzigen Satz: HOUSE MUSIC ALL LIFE LONG.

Welche Gedanken magst du uns zu deinem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?

Ich wollte die Wärme und die tropische Atmosphäre von Tulum zu all den Menschen bringen, die in Europa leider nicht in die Clubs gehen können und wegen des Winters ein bisschen traurig sind. Zum Rhythmus der HOUSE MUSIC ein bisschen Freude und Lächeln zu verbreiten.

Bei Mitschnitten von Gigs: Wie hast du den Gig empfunden?

Es war eine gute Erfahrung, der Ort ist fantastisch und obwohl nicht viele Leute da waren, weil am Tag zuvor eine sehr wichtige Veranstaltung in Tulum stattfand, der Circo Loco, waren meine Freunde da und das war für mich mehr als genug.

Pow! Republic Artists Records are back and this time present the emerging label’s fiercest work to date. The release’s original material comes from Greek techno powerhouse Nikola Gala, a man whose production record is tried and true, dating back as it does to 2003. We’ve been a huge fan of Gala’s work for a while now so it was only a matter of time before we would ask him to debut on our label. Because we at RA are a family, the only sensible thing to do was have three of our residents & previous release artists remix this pair of mind-melting techno stompers, each in their own style.

Mind Meld 2 is beyond brutal. The track hurtles forward with unstoppable pace: swung synth-stab rhythms and clattering hi-hats combine to create a class-A banger or a big room, peak time floor killer. Serious weapon alert! Slightly more of a warm-up track, milder & more dubby, Mind Meld 1 is the sparser, subtler of the two. More restraint is exercised with regards this track’s ferocity with tension built & sustained throughout via minor undulations in melodic tone and deft deployment of classic 909 hats. Classy, dub-inflected techno at its best!

Jacob B’s crafty, industrial take on Mind Meld 2 has all the soul proper techno music should have, managing to tow the line between hard and soft in minimalistic fashion throughout. Nick Elia dives down deep with gurgling acid bass that lends the original material a trance-like quality without compromising on fierceness. Republic Artists Records boss Thomas Tesla maintains the energy sets by Gala in his own style. Last but not least, Arthur Keen’s is arguably the calmest of the bunch. Keen reworks the original material into a cooler tempo-ed, stylish chuggy groover of a psychedelic-leaning big room techno track.

Today’s DT:Premiere comes from the new and exciting label called Injected Poison Records. Based in Spain, they have had a really solid output of tough and hypnotic Techno from the likes of Radial, Jonas Kopp, Reeko to Christian Wunsch.

The track we chose is by the label boss himself @JosePouj and the named after the EP “Regeneration” that also features killer works from Groof, Energun and Positive Merge.

Jose concocts a crisp vision, that is driving from the start. Sonic stabs flash passed as it powers forward and builds tension, where the groove fuelled bass line groove is a real highlight rarely letting up. He creates an epic build throughout and plenty of shimmering to rough textures filling the mix. Quality, spaced out Techno.

Wow what a night......I had the honour to play directly after Stimming ( https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/NfEniBEoyhmbo7AeA  )So I had the quest to transport the fantastic dreamy mood into an danceable and very hypnotic region what I like at most (117-124 BPM). I think it worked out :) 
I enjoyed the whole gig a lot as much as al dancers and smiling faces.
Ok the sound system was a pain in the ass, but I tried my best to play at the limit of the sound system. Enjoyable and powerfull.
