Red Axes make a triumphant return to Phantasy with a further trio of expertly-crafted leftfield club tracks. Having produced several of the label’s best-loved club moments such as ‘Sipoor’ and ‘Sound Test’, the Israeli duo easily surpass their charismatic reputation across ‘Some Lights’.

‘Some Lights’ stomps forward to reveal the footprints of a rave giant, yet, even Red Axes at their most anthemic unfold the unexpected. Bleary-eyed chords stretch wistfully into the far-distance, as a male voice compounds the mood; “Sunrise”. Suddenly, the Axes pull the rug and reveal the howling club wolf hidden behind the sheep’s dress code, plunging dancers into a heavy trip of vintage rave chords and EBM-drum play.

The more psychedelically inclined will meanwhile find plenty to embrace in the wide, kaleidoscopic canyons of ‘Skulls’, a deeper-still groove machine that conjures up images of untamed sonic plains, Morricone-esque chords unexpectedly synthesised with psychobilin. Finally, ‘Professor Grasstov’ finds the duo loosening up into more playful form still, dragging the good name of this notable academic on a loose, breaks'y trip full of baggy energy (and complete with audible liquid experiments).

Tel Aviv super group @megaphonim are bringing their off-kilter energy to Feines Tier in form of their new „Namal Ashdod“ EP with four original tracks and hell of a @simple-symmetry remix. Even though they’re all quite unique on their own, what unites the tracks is the combination of raw beats and vocals with an oddly catchy pop approach to the writing of the music. Be it in the aptly titled „After of Disaster“ with its let-loose energy, the slow-rolling „Lo Titfos Oti“, which could have been picked from an Andrew Weatherall (RIP) dj-set, or the title track with its break-beats and its unforeseeable left-turns, there’s always this playful and off-the-wall energy keeping the ball going and bouncing. And let’s not forget about the remix! Endlessly rising duo Simple Symmetry do what they have become known for very well here: Deliver an insanely groovy and relentless weapon of a track, guaranteed to blow the roof of every club, festival floor or after, however disastrous it might be. As dawn broke and the first rays of sun began to light up the sky, the group clambered the stairs to their studio slowly, bleary eyed and half asleep. The room overlooked the most beautiful landscape, a perfect location for them to clear their minds and enter the new day. They rolled out their mats in unison, took their place cross legged on the floor and inhaled deeply. Time to relax...

Hebrew electronic duo Megaphonim first started operating in the 90s in Tel Aviv, but after being jailed for 18 months for unclear reasons, their productions took a different form. Adding elements of despair, hope, irony and tongue-in-cheek humour to the equation, their new sound shines on their debut album for Unterman, the label they released a single on back in 2017. Stam Sofer also features three remixes from Kino Todo, Simple Symmetry and our driving synth pick from a duo who have become synonymous with psychedelic electronic productions, Garzen records founders Red Axes.

The cars headlights shone forward, creating a glowing path for the vehicle to follow. Tranquil darkness blanketed the bland scenery that surrounded the path, an antithesis of the frenetic thoughts going through the driver's head. Every so often he would pass another car, quickly leaving it behind, while the rolling desert hills, which he could barely make out against the night sky, passed him in shadowy waves. The driver pressed harder on the accelerator. He wasn't going to slow down. He was going to strike back.

Following last year's The Untold Story of Del Fierro EP, Tel Aviv producers Niv Ast & Eliezer release Del Fierro Strikes Back, the third release on their label New Day Everyday. The four tracks showcase a perfect blend of 80s synths, tense beats and Italo flavours, with Isadora, ALF CHAMPION, and Adrien Albou lending their vocal talents on three of the four tracks.

Âme’s Frank Wiedemann calls up friends and family for remix duties on 9 tracks from the back catalogue of his eclectic label, Bigamo Musik, reaching for some of the most respected names in electronic music to dig into the archives.

The first 3 tracks form the first of a trio of remix EP's, with Red Axes, Sado V and Dengue Dengue Dengue taking their talents to tracks from Keope and Abrão.

Tel Aviv power pair Red Axes are no stranger to Abrão’s work, with the latter’s vocals featuring on their 2014 release ‘Kicks Out of You’. The familiarity shows itself in the Israeli duo’s careful rearranging of “Aguas sagradas do Ganges” into a sundowner-set beauty, opening the track up to the dancefloor whilst preserving the original’s measured approach and plaintive vocals.
