Back in 2008 (i think!) i was booked to play in Chicago for my friend Mario's cool event 'Groove Parlor', While i was playing some dude rocked up and started playing trumpet, he was DOPE!! After the show we chatted about doing a collab', so when i got back to the UK i sent him a groove, which he sent back with trumpet...and vocals!! i was shocked, he was like the male version of Sade! He didn't even mention he sung before!The song was called 'Above The Sky' and was signed to Ralf Gum's GOGO label. This song was the follow up, and was used as the first song on my 'Kholofelo' album (also got remixed as a single, and used on 'Kholofelo Remixed') The music was written by Andy Barton, Jeff Bass and myself (At the Dawlish PENG studio), vox and and trumpet by Kafele (backing vox by Sofia Loren Coffee). This is proper soulful jazzy house!

Par un concours de circonstances propre à l’incroyable vie des choses, les sonorités bruitistes du premier EP de Jacques ont résonné jusqu’aux oreilles bienveillantes des membres de l’équipe de Radio France. C’est dans le cadre des journées du patrimoine que Radio France lance alors à Jacques le défi de composer un morceau qui inclus des sons enregistrés à l’intérieur de la Maison de la Radio à Paris. Panneaux de signalisation, poteaux, extincteurs, ascenseurs, tiroirs, câbles métalliques… tout le bâtiment est cogné pour en extraire une banque de sons inédite à partir de laquelle il va composer sans le savoir ce qui deviens aujourd’hui son nouveau single. Dans un morceau fait à partir de la radio et pour la radio, Jacques chante pour la première fois le fait qu’il est pour la première fois dans la radio. Le titre ? Dans la Radio. Une mise en abîme que l’on soupçonne d’être une expérience de plus dans le cadre de son projet pseudo-scientifique né au Palais de Tokyo il y a quelque mois : Le CNRV (Centre National de Recherche du Vortex).
