This release is no exception, it's packed with music that speaks for itself and also features Los Suruba, Alex Who?, Nhii, Robbie Akbal and Unders. 
 
Why Not feat. Alex Who (Inámo Remix) is a warm and spiritual prog track with lush melodies layered up top over endlessly smooth drums. The Los Suruba & Wild Dark 2023 Edition is a subtle update with a darker heart and more prickly bass that keeps you on your toes and Born By The River feat. Alex Who? (Nhii Remix) has a welcoming groove, heart felt vocal sounds and candle lit chords that are cuddly and intimate. Talky Talkiy (Robbie Akbal Remix) is another smooth one for late at night, with wavy beats and smeared chords making for a tender vibe and I'll Wait (Unders feat. Haximum Remix) then ups the ante with a little extra darkness and menace. Born By The River feat. Alex Who? (Inámo's Born on Banks of Neva Dub) closes down in top fashion with elegant drums and icy hi hats layered up top.

Originally released during the label’s earlier years, “7 Minutes 2 Midnight” by Nakadia, remixed by Superstrobe, returns as part of TEN: The Archive Series Pt. 1 — a curated collection highlighting peak time and driving Techno from the first phase of the label’s history.

Defined by its stripped intensity and functional power, the remix captures the raw, uncompromising sound that helped shape Ballroom’s identity on the international Techno circuit.

7 Minutes 2 Midnight (Superstrobe Remix)

Here’s a first single made of two techno tracks with distinct vibes. 


The first track made of sharp and sleek tones starts with a soft bass and a slamming metallic synth, followed by crazy, jerky scratch sounds giving way to a rhythmic bridge right before an acid killer bass. Then the melody stops completely and is replaced by a vocoded voice sample until all the elements get progressively back together, first by overlapping each other, and finally creating symbiosis. 

The second track, with a modular and slow touch to it, is more of a harmonic inspiration than a quest for efficiency. The first part set the scene with stereo focused rhythm and melody. The first bridge is about the core inspiration of the track. Some floating waves and acoustic percussions emphasize the humanistic speech of renowned DJ and producer Honey Dijon - extracts from an interview with Joshua Glazer (episode 003 of his “Rave Curious Podcast” channel, to listen without moderation). This key moment of the track embodies a turning point; it marks the dissociation with the punchier and rockier second half of it. The synths are going wild and the distortion takes precedence over everything.
