The new EP from Memoria comes from fast-rising Romanian producer Vid whose previous outings have come on labels including Fear of Flying and Barraca Music,

Vid (Vidum) aka Sorin Rastoaca Unknown also as Egal 3  is a producer obsessed with nature and organic sounds.
His latest release "Rebirth," is stripped but not light on feeling, and mines a vein somewhere between deep house and minimal techno.

‘Rebirth’ is again about little tiny details and how they evolve with time, but the framework they inhabit this time is deep, late-night house with gentle tinkles on keys coming over like a fluttering candle in the dark.

‘Etime’ is a fluttery, eerie cut that works on many subtle layers. Like the feathery minimal percussion of Villalobos, the Romanian’s sounds present like flapping butterfly wingsas a kick drum punches out a varied pattern below.

‘Poem’ is a little louder and bolder, with a firm rolling kick drum and drunken, wubby sounds running right through its core. Plenty of sonic details flesh out the languorous but slightly tribal groove.

‘3729’ gets its head down and mines a shifty,itching and tight minimal groove, closing out an EP which shows VID to be a master of working minimum sounds into maximum effects.

With a combined career that spans 40 years in the business, Italian producers Paul C & Paolo Martini have been, seen and done it all.
As part of Bini & Martini, Paolo was without doubt one of the most prolific house producers at the turn of the century, touring the globe and lending their remix talents to major dance labels like Defected, Strictly Rhythm, AM:PM, EMI, Universal, Sony and many of the worlds biggest pop acts such Jamiroquai, Kylie Minogue, Terence Trent D’Arby, Murk, Armand Van Helden and many many more. Paolo is now the driving force behind his own brilliant imprint, Paul’s Boutique.
Paul C has honed his production skills since the mid ‘90’s and his energetic brand of tech-house has seen him release on a host influential labels. Since 2009 the pair have worked tirelessly in the studio and not only seen their music supported by many of the industry’s biggest names like Marco Carola, Loco Dice, DJ Sneak and many more...
Now they're coming for a massive EP on Cécille Numbers. The label founder Nick Curly and Marc Scholl just could not choose any favorite track and decided to take four tracks on one EP. Paul C & Paolo Martini - we repeat (CEN024)

Adam Beyers unique vision of The Afterparty uses phased percussion, tripped out drums and an ethereal like pad and melody to create a stand out remix that blends together two unique ideas momentously. Ben Klock steps up to take on The Afterparty too with the sound ever so synonymous with him. He uses rhythmic stabs and an unusual melody that works so well within the atmospheric landscape he has created. Joseph Capriatis remix of Can you feel it is a funky techno track that uses stabs to really build a solid groove that will be a sure fire hit. The Sandwell District remix of I Feel it Deep uses the original vocal in an ambient journey with pads and percussion to tell a story. Alan Fitzpatrick yet again doesnt disappoint with his remix of Riots in London that uses delayed stabs and a rolling bass line to construct another dark peak time player. Jerome Sydenhams Carbon Dub of Smoke and Mirrors is heavily dynamic and uses a piano chord and the original vocal to create an energetic vibe. Cari Lekebusch remix of Bullet uses a phased underlying melody to really drive the track forward before the bleep melody is introduced later into the track. Jeromes Looking Glass Dub also of Smoke and Mirrors uses a throbbing bass line to power through the early hours of the morning with the use of the delayed vocal and rhythmic hi hats creating a funky techno groove.
