Andreas Henneberg und Daniel Nitsch lernten sich vor mehr als zehn Jahren online in einem DJ-Forum kennen. Noch bevor sie sich im wahren Leben einmal gesehen hatten, entstand bereits die Idee das gemeinsame Label Voltage Music zu gründen. Ihr Projekt The Glitz ist erst im Jahr 2007 entstanden, als die beiden im Studio das erste Mal gemeinsam an Tracks bastelten. Gleich ihr erstes Release White Line war ein großer Erfolg, den das Duo mit jeder neuen EP aufs neue zu toppen scheint.

Zum heutigen Wochenstart gibt es für Euch den neuen JedenTagEinSet Podcast von Kollektiv Ost auf die Ohren.

Die beiden smarten Jungs aus Mecklenburg haben sich in den letzten Jahren von einem Geheimtipp zum angesagten DJ Duo in Berlin und dem Rest von Deutschland gemausert. Ihre EP's und Remixe erschienen auf Labels wie 3000° Records, Sytlerockets, Atmosphere oder ihrem eigenen Imprint „Simple As That Records“, um nur einige zu nennen. In Kürze erscheint auch ihr erstes Studioalbum auf Oliver Schories Label "der turnbeutel" - wir sind gespannt.
Im Club haben die beiden immer das Gespür für den richtigen Groove.  In ihren Sets verliert man sich gerne schon einmal und wundert sich nach einigen Stunden, warum das denn schon wieder alles vorbei ist.

Wir freuen uns ganz besonders, dass die beiden Zeit gefunden haben, einen Podcast für uns abzumischen und hoffen, er gefällt Euch mindestens genauso gut wie uns. Schönen Montag Euch da draußen.

Der neue JedenTagEinSet Podcast kommt vom Wahlberliner René Bourgeois. Aufgewachsen in Dresden, lauschte der Musikästhet bereits damals den Geheimnissen von 16Bit, Art of Noise, Off oder Yello. Nach dem Umzug nach Berlin war seine Schallplatten- und Kasettensammlung sein größtes Hab und Gut und nach der Wiedervereinigung besuchte er die ersten Berliner Clubs. Schnell fand er sich selbst an den Plattenspielern wieder, sammelte wervolle Erfahrungen und schloss viele langlebige Freundschaften, wie zum Beispiel mit Sascha Braemer. Zusammen mit ihm oder seinem Schulfreund Daniel Steinberg realisierten Rene Bourgeois viele gemeinsame Projekte.

In seiner Podcastausgabe mischt er starke Technotracks, bei denen man sofort die Lust verspürt, in den nächsten Club zu fahren und zu feiern. Viel Spaß damit!

Wir freuen uns euch den nächsten Künstler in unserer Podcastreihe begrüßen zu dürfen. Marcus Meinhardt wurde schon früh Resident im bekannten Muna Club und teil der Crew, die zu den Initiatoren des Sonne Mond Sterne Festivals  gehörte. Nach seinem Umzug aus der thüringischen Heimat nach Berlin, wagte er den Kopfsprung in die pulsierende Clubszene der Hauptstadt. 2007 gründete er erst das Label Upon You – 2012 folgte Heinz Music und feiert gerade sein dreijähriges Bestehen mit einer großen Compilation, gemixt vom Labelchef höchstpersönlich. 

Umso mehr freuen wir uns, dass nun auch der Resident aus dem Kater Blau eine Ausgabe zu der JedenTagEinSet Podcastreihe beisteuert. Viel Spaß mit Marcus Meinhardt!

Die 35. Ausgabe der Jeden Tag ein Set Podcastreihe kommt vom Rostocker Schlepp Geist. Der inzwischen in Leipzig lebende DJ und Produzent begeisterte in der vergangenen Zeit immer wieder mit Tracks und Remixe auf Labels wie SOSO, Katermukke oder seiner Homebase URLS. Während seiner Performance in den Clubs und auf Festival rund um den Globus, gib er hinter dem Pult mindestens genau so viel Gas, wie die Crowd auf dem Dancefloor. 
Mit seinem mit Kumpel Daniel Czerner rief er im Jahr 2014 außerdem das DJ-Duo Shlerner ins Leben.

Shlomi Aber makes his debut on Drumcode Ltd with a piercing four-tracker for the vinyl only offshoot.

Israel’s Shlomi Aber remains of techno’s most consistent artists, with a career stretching back 15 years. The label boss of Be As One, Aber has also had his music released on such imprints as R&S, Figure and Ovum, reinforcing his status as a purveyor of classy yet impactful techno. 

His contribution to Drumcode Ltd puts a fresh take on the classic pounding DC sound of the label’s early years, an era the DJ/producer has long been a fan of. Beginning with ‘Inflict’, the EP lays down its heavy-hitting intentions from the onset, as a persistent muffled vocal build beneath a bed of steely percussion, creating a dark tension-filled atmosphere. ‘Accelerator’ follows, the title track that was quite literally born at Basel’s own techno temple Nordstern this year when Aber crafted it into a stunning cavernous beast, using his 909 and XOXBOX Acid machine. ‘Typeface’ is stripped back and functional, an energy-packed tool for building extended techno journeys. The four-piece is rounded out by the fantastic ‘Rain Storm’, that lowers the intensity, as the six-minute cut introduces a new groovier element to the work and concludes the EP is sharp fashion.

Hope everyone has recovered from their sugar and alcohol overload of the past couple weeks.  We have a special mix for you this week from  our head honcho PZB aka Josh Brooks. Earlier in October he was invited to perform alongside the rest of the Dirtybird players for some special silent disco afterhours sets at the Bass Lodge. With Worthy and Christian Martin to his left and Bot and Wood Holly to his right Brooks took the Dirtybird crowd down a techno wormhole and we are stoked he recorded it so we can share it with you for our weekly mix series. We are going to catch up with PZB/ Josh Brooks in our weekly mix write up and interview this week and see what he has been up to and what is new in his world. "Wenn die Blätter tanzen" ist meine Interpretation des Herbsttreibens vor unseren Türen. Momentan fasziniert mich der Herbst mit all seinen unterschiedlichen Facetten. Er schenkt uns goldene und milde, düstere und regnerische sowie kalte & stürmische Tage. Nach diesem verrückten Sommer gibt er uns endlich wieder Zeit für kuschelige Wolldecken, für knisterndes Kaminfeuer und für den stark vernachlässigten Lieblingspullover! Dick eingekuschelt auf dem Sofa, kann man so ganz entspannt dem Wind und dem Trommeln des Regens lauschen. Er verzaubert uns mit seiner unglaublichen Farbenpracht und den Blättern die sich tänzelnd im Wind bewegen.

In diesem Set habe ich versucht diese unterschiedlichsten Herbststimmungen einzufangen. Euch erwarten ruhige & melodische Tracks, es wird deep & düster und stürmisch technoid.  Aber nun genug der Worte, Musik ab, laut aufgedreht und die Nachbar geärgert :)!!!

There is no doubt, artists generate – especially in our scene - hypes occur again and again. Be it a good track or an unforgettable DJ-Set. However, these come and go as quickly as they have emerged. And there is also something happening in this scene, which is quite apparent: It happens relatively fast. In Germany, the motherland of the electronic music, an artist has seldom managed to infringe at the same time upon such widely spread generations and masses. It is not by coincidence, that ideas like „German Techno Master“ (DJ Mag) or countless first grade placings originate in the process of the scene votings. Meanwhile one can also hardly keep up counting his fanclubs, who welcome him with frenetic exultation spreading across the entire republic and far beyond.
