Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan's label Ouïe proudly presents the original film score and soundtrack album for the new German moive 'Es war einmal Indianerland' which translates into 'Once upon a time in Indian Country’ which is centered around brand new songs by Acid Pauli.
A 17-year-old boy is at the odds with himself and the world. Pretty normal. But the coming-of-age-story “Es war einmal Indianerland” is not normal: it’s exceptional. Thrilling. Imaginative. The narration is virtousic, just as the attendant nominated novel by Nils Mohl who also wrote the screenplay – in collaboration with Max Reinhold. A psychedelic city-western ! Charged with pictures full of symbolism that are composed into a hypnotic whirl by Ilker Çatak – who won the Max-Ophüls price and who has been distinguished with the student Oscar for « Sadakat ». Another highlight : the outstanding cast. Newcomer Leonard Scheicher (« Quellen des Lebens ») as protagonist Mauser in between Jackie played by Emilia Schüle (« Ku’damm ’56, « Jugend ohne Gott »), and Edda played by Johanna Polley (« Mumbai »). In additional roles there’s Clemens Schick (« James Bond 007 – Casino Royale », « 4 Könige ») as Mausers father, and Joel Basman (« Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter ») as Mausers pal Kondor.

From a monthly residency at the renowned watergate club  in Berlin, showcases all around the world and a fantastic debut in Nairobi, We were  extremely happy to announce RISE makes its comeback to Kenya. With nothing but positive feedback for our Kenya special at Watergate in Berlin, RISE’s return was inevitable. 

Midi Minds Kenya was proud to announce their 2nd collaborative showcase with RISE Berlin here in the city of Nairobi. They were joined by RISE residents MINCO & Dede for the 2nd Nairobi edition which took place on the 1st of December.

For this edition, they were delighted to  collaborate with the team at MUZE, a new Nightclub & Music Venue experience in Westlands, Nairobi that staged the  Berlin-Nairobi showcase.

When Gerald just moved to berlin, he got his house and his studio inside that very inspiring and artistic place, and as a tribute and homage to his legendary figure, some mysterious writer draw G's face on the right side of that building with the shamanic enigma above that giant mural "How Long Is Now", an existential sigh or question that perfectly sums up the uncertain past, present and future of one of Berlin's most important initiatives, as the Tacheles was, and as the things of our life that we love, as the music, can be, uncertain…But for sure this 3 tracker vinyl is real and it will last for long in our bags, these are 3 deadly club weapons by The Master between bass music, micro funk and soul excursions: A1 gives the title to the EP and it's subliminal dark and psychedelic after-hours dope session, while on B1 there's the shady and sexy atmosphere of "Groove of the Ghetto", a driving and funky house tune sustained by an ultra fat synth bass and enriched by soulful vocals and deep pads, while on B2 the EP ends wih the brutal Uk bass bonus beats monster entitled "202".
