We probably don't need to say much about the next artist in our beloved down. cast series, as her sound speaks volumes and should be familiar to any downtempo aficionado by now.

Of course, we're talking about @frida-darko, who for years has consistently delivered fantastic and carefully curated sound.

Being a part of the @rebelliondertraumer and @station-endlos-halle crews and having launched her own label project @tipping-point-music in recent months, one can always be curious what this versatile artist has in store for us next.

We're all the more thrilled to have her now as part of our series as well and wish you all a great time with the upcoming mix.

Einen Tag lang war er ihnen bereits dicht auf den Versen. Er musste mit bedacht vorgehen, eine Gazelle aus einer gut organisierten Herde zu reißen, war sicherlich kein Kinderspiel. Er war nicht unbedingt der Größte und Stärkste seiner Art, doch dass würde ihn nicht von seinem Vorhaben abbringen. Sein Hunger war einfach zu groß.

Langsam aber sicher zog sich die Sonne hinter den Horizont zurück und die Gazellenherde machte sich daran, Wasser und einen sicheren Platz für die Nacht zu finden. 
Er folgte den Tieren wie ein Schatten, sehr vorsichtig und immer aus der Deckung heraus, beobachtete er akribisch genau die Hornträger. 

Kurze Zeit später fanden sie wonach sie gesucht hatten. Die Tiere brachen aus ihrer Formation, verteilten sich und begannen Wasser aus dem Flussbett zu trinken. Er wusste, dies war seine Chance. Schnell lokalisierte er das Tier, welches seiner Einschätzung nach am weitesten von der Herde entfernt war. Noch war es zu hell für einen direkten Angriff, doch sein knurrender Magen übernahm die Oberhand und er begann sich an seine Beute anzupirschen. 
Er ließ alle bedenken und letzte Zurückhaltung hinter sich und wurde schneller und schneller, schon hob das Tier seinen Kopf. Mit einem kraftvollen Sprung erreichte er das verängstigte Wesen. Noch bevor das Tier zur Flucht ansetzte, grub er seine spitzen Zähne in seine Flanke. Die Haut war straff und riss auf, dass Fleisch war warm und zart, Blut tropfte aus der Wunde. Er verbiss sich immer tiefer, mit einem Rück biss er ein großes Stück Hüftfleisch heraus und das Tier schrie vor Schmerzen und Panik. Es versuchte sich mit seinem schmächtigen Geweih zu wehren, doch er hatte bereits alles was er wollte. Das große Stück Fleisch hing in seinem Maul, das Blut tropfte in sein Fell und er rannte so schnell er konnte. Hinter sich hörte er Geräusche, doch er drehte sich nicht um. Er flog beinah über den sandigen Boden, bis er einen Mannshohen Felsen erreichte. Dort ließ er sich erschöpft nieder und stillte endlich seinen nagenden Hunger.

Das heutige Set, KataHaifisch Podcast 099, entstammt den fleißigen Händen von Maurice Mino & sin:port und ist eben so kraftvoll, wie der eben beschriebene Wüstenwolf. Ein interessanter Mix gespickt mit vielen verschiedenen musikalischen Elementen und Einflüssen. Verspielt zusammen gesetzt und versehen mit der optimalen Portion atmosphärischen Grooves.

Matt Halls is a Cape Town based DJ/Producer whose involvement with music has spanned for over a decade since his music journey commenced at the tender age of 7.

Initially being a metal band drummer, he later transitioned his sound, gravitating towards electronica and dark techno, which led to his ability to unite a plethora of elements and genres throughout his current productions. His dark melodic sounds are distinctive, forged through a combination of digital, analogue and physical instruments sourced within his own studio. This admirable skill has earned him respect from numerous artists locally, as well as internationally. Matt has shared the stage with notable acts such as The Fogshow, Killer Robot, Just Her, Ryan Murgatroyd, waFF, Paranoid London, Stimming and Hvob, just to name a few. 2018 also saw him performing at Rocking the Daisies - a definite career highlight.

In 2017 he officially launched his DJ project and from this point forward, Matt started producing sounds and music that shook the dance floor, yet bestowed captivating melodies and emotionally dark soundscapes, allowing people to create their own story within his productions. With a string of upcoming releases to look forward to, Matt Halls certainly has some exciting things on the horizon!

And as my early roots lie in 90ies Hip Hop better to say Battle Scratch 90ties Hip Hop I decided to go back to the roots and started to have scratch sessions again. (No worries ill spare this part for you!)
But…From here on i found all the old beats i liked and still love to this day.

Felix Eul is a DJ / producer from Nuremberg and a true music enthusiast. He's been making music since he was a child, learnt to play and improvise on various instruments and showed great talent from the very beginning. In his early 20s, he finally discovered his passion for electronic music and synthesizers and began to realize his musical vision.

With over a decade of stage experience, as a resident of various renowned clubs and events, as well as with numerous releases, he established himself as an important part of the techno scene in his home region. His innovative approach to electronic music has also made him play sets all over the world. The sound in his sets is consistently energetic and danceable, as are his productions, which always open up new perspectives while remaining true to his unmistakable style. His music has been released on top labels such as 3000Grad, Heinz Music, Hive Audio and SNOE. Thanks to his musical versatility, he tells a story in each of his sets, skillfully spanning the spectrum from tech house to melodic techno and techno without losing the common thread. He delights his audience with his sound at venues such as Ritter Butzke, Südpol Hamburg, 3000Grad Festival, Bahnwärter Thiel and Harry Klein, to name but a few. In his home town, he is resident DJ at the legendary club "Die Rakete".

In addition to his passion for music, Felix is also a trained piano maker and responsible for the  right tunig of the piano in concert halls. At the weekend, however, his heart remains behind the decks, where he captivates his audience time and again with his playful and driving sets.
