1. Where would you love to play live?

“A few places spring to mind, Amnesia Ibiza Terrace, Gashouder Amsterdam, Berghain Berlin.”

2. How did you learn to produce music?

“I am self-taught, I basically worked my ass off every day until it worked. Patience and persistence are key ingredients to a music producer.”

3. What keeps you going?

“My family, my Girlfriend, our amazing house, our dog and our wonderful friends.”

4. DAW?

“Ableton”

5. Favourite track of all time?

“Hard question, but ‘The Man With The Red Face’ by Laurent Garnier has everything you could ever need in one song. Classic, I have had countless amazing moments with this track.”

6. Dream Collab?

“A weekend studio session with Loco Dice & Marco Carola: “Kreacho-Di-Corola EP". But if we are really talking about dreaming, how about getting a band together: MJ as the front man, Nile Rogers on guitar giving it big licks. Jerry Barnes on Bass, I know he is from Chic too but you cannot have Nile without Jerry. Then bring in Stevie Wonder on the keys and finally we have Clyde Stubblefield on the funky drums. Now that is a band!”

7. Next release?

“My ‘Transient Control EP’ will be out December 16th on You Are We.”

8. What do you listen to besides electronic music?

“I love all different styles of music. In my free time I listen to Disco, Funk, Soul, Motown, Hip-Hop, Jungle, Garage pretty much anything with groove.”

"It’s became Mennie’s calling card to consistently deliver dancefloor oriented grooves that surreptitiously tease, then grab, then seduce then pound the senses into disco submission. ‘Reels Rebel’ is the choice cut, pulsing with Masters At Work flavoured duck or ‘Everyday’ beats and a funk-fuelled bassline high roller. Filtered synths and crunchy and crisp beats pin it down for tinny hi-hats and whipcracking snares to trample all over. ‘Haus’ is a more subtle treat with warm, delayed synth pads, clicking syncopated beats and a deep, mellow bassline that rolls then smokes like a fat cuban cigar. Italian producer Mennie is back on Exploited Ghetto. Lately, he remixed Scuba alongside Bambook on Circus Recordings as well as DJ W!ld on Flashmob LTD. 
His first Exploited Ghetto release ‘Phoenix’ from 2015 was featured in Matthias Tanzmann’s Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 and his music has been supported by DJs such as Loco Dice, Heidi, Koelsch, Groove Armada to mention a few.  
His ’Reels Rebel’ EP is a strong mix of classic house roots and organic sound melted with some old samples.
