DJ Godiva is Paul de KT (aka https://soundcloud.com/ambiensce) in his dance music and radio persona.  While his DJ origins extend back 15 years to eight semesters of college radio broadcasting, Godiva has been spinning live for three solid years now, racking up dozens of gigs per year within the Bay Area's underground arts and play communities and expanding to party scenes in LA, Brooklyn, and Black Rock City.

He has graced the airwaves at the Torture Garden, Burning Man, Come Together Campout, Top Floor (thrice), and innumerable private funktions. Braydon Wallace is a 26-year-old from Salt Lake City, UT. He is entering the music front after years of OCD-ridden hesitance about releasing his projects.

With influences that include Andrew Belle, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Lights, John Mayer, The Japanese House, and Phoebe Bridgers, his genre is hard to define, but that’s the beauty in what Braydon is creating. Whether it’s guitar-led verses with overlaying vocal harmonies or homemade, synth-ready choruses, the soundscape that is produced sets Braydon Wallace apart from the other popular music of this day and age.

𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙣.

Ambiensce was born from the discovery in June 2018 that two analog delay pedals stacked astride a loop unit could warp the inputs into sometimes soft and often strange infinitudes. Each result constitutes an ambiance or atmosphere, but also has a life of its own; each is a small refraction of shared solitude, expressing itself differently each listen through. At its best, it takes on its own identity and conscience (therein lies the name for both artist and medium), and serves as a guide toward pure experience, toward understanding by feeling. Ambiensce is a dream: a long moment of something (un)stuck.

The debut LP from Ambiensce, schliessongs, contains five meditations on a world bent inward. (“schliessung” is a German polyseme meaning “closure”, “shutting”, or “ending”, but also “breaking-up” and, crucially, “forming”.) The album reflects realities on the ground during the 2020 COVID quarantine: from the living room floor to city streets in protest to the western American wilderness and back. They are meant to annihilate timely distinctions, inviting listeners to settle into or wrench awake from a distressed embrace.

schliessongs depends on sounds made intentionally or incidentally by countless people, animals, and natural phenomena. It is a privilege to capture even this miniscule sampling of these creators in all their vitality, coalescence, and hopefulessness. Please be as patient with these sounds as you have had to be with yourself these past 18 months.

Alastair has become a local favorite in San Francisco for Burning Man, Street Festival and proper club bookings for his impeccable track selection, energy and showmanship behind the decks! He is a resident with the amazing Icarus Art Car, a spaceship and roaming dance club mutant vehicle that is rapidly gaining popularity with their cutting edge parties on the playa and major events like Mysteryland USA.
