Feminatronic #123 - Electro Strings #3

Este experimento foi pensado como peça eletroacústica em quatro canais, para o evento Mônaco Eletroacustique, realizado em maio de 2013. Ainda assim, é fruto de diversas situações participativas de criação, performance, aprendizagem e amizade, que se estendem para antes e depois deste evento. 

Em" Poema Verbo Instrumental" eu exploro a voz em suas possibilidades bucais,ruídos, sons guturais, sussurros e o cruzamento desse material com as possibilidades sonoras do violino. 

Voz e violino foram gravados no Estudio Kaxinawá, na UERJ, em Duque de Caxias, RJ, sob assistência e gentileza de Pedro Albuquerque, Adriana Ribeiro, Marcelo Lopez e Mauro S R Costa. O processo de composição foi então assessorado por Daniel Quaranta e Lilian Nakahodo.

Da performance gravada retirei a matéria prima sonora para compor a peça. Perguntei-me durante o processo: que voz e essa? O que é a voz? Qual a fronteira que separa a voz da boca e a voz do instrumento? Qual a diferença dos aparatos...bucal e instrumental? Até que ponto a voz permanece uma voz neste processo?  Da mesma forma, onde a voz orgânica encontra a voz digital, a música eletroacústica? Tento exercitar a intermídia instrumento-computador, voz-corpo, mecânico-orgânico. O corpo amplifica a voz, por outro lado, as possibilidades de edição, processamento e manipulação destes sons orgânicos e concretos da voz e do instrumento ampliam as possibilidades do orgânico até o digital, evidenciando uma fronteira, mas por isso mesmo, um espaço de intersecção entre a voz, o corpo, o instrumento e os sons digitais.

The Broken Glass is a work conceived and produced between Austria and Spain and represents the eleventh reference of the catalogue of Störung Label. In this collaboration field recordings and synthesis processed by Asférico create cyclical and hypnotic structures, which Mia Zabelka furnishes with her violin and voice. 

The LP version consists of two versions of the piece, the first more minimalist and conceptual and the second more rhythmical and synthesizer based. 

Through a display of distorted and isolated sounds, we are driven in the first version into an deep listening, as if sounds where placed under a microscope or we were contemplating them through a telescope. This approach lets us perceive the bare physicality of sounds in a way which enables us to grasp subtleties and aspects of sound which we are not used to. 

The second version continues where the first version left us, but in this piece, we are eventually flooded by hypnotic loops, white noise and synthesis and the experience has a different flavor. Now what we have acquired through the first version, the enhancement of our listening and appreciation of subtleties of sounds, is inserted into a rhythmical structure which acts as a strong current, pulling us inside an ocean full of astonishing sounds.
