Sebastian Russell is one of the most exciting discoveries on Mo's Ferry's decent 10inch label Fenou. After his first single release „Away“ from 2009 the London producer chipped in a remix for Dapayk's „Decade One“ album and he also contributed the fantastic piece „Follow The Lost Soul“ for the „Fenou Bouquet Vol. 1“ label compilation in late 2010. Now, he returns with the beautiful 2-track record „Far Around Us“ showing his eccentric as well as catchy interpretation of modern House music. The release is extended by three more tracks in the digital bundle including a hypnotizing remix of the title track by Alex Tomb. As usual, the 10inch record is a limited edition and numbered by hand.

Before you can remember anything you are about to say to me I will tell you it's time for a second round! Why even bother searching for questions if ANCIENT FUTURE already has the answers to them? Delivered again in the form of four tracks by four different artists, this is number two!

Is there a difference between eternity and nothingness? ALMA & MATER trace that disparity on first track "Forever Never", and could not be more haunting in the way they do it. Their search is fueled by raw 808 power and inducing saw-tooth synths, so you better watch for your shoes, for you could've already lost'em dancing too hard. Next track "Time Zone Adjustment" makes it all too easy for you to just keep on going, manufactured by the 106ERs, a tag team of future bois Philipp Fein & Johannes Klingebiel. As you probably will have already lost your sense of time, readjustments of your local time zone won't bother you anyway... Flip to the f-side and RHYTCH will take you to another place, although his "Lenoir" might not exactly be what they call reality. It's way too enigmatic for that, all you see is flickering lights and some weird machinery - but exciting, that's what it is! Find your way through the fog and enter the realms of "Okuruwo", reigned by the impeccable DREEMS & MAX SCHMITT. With a little help from their friend JOHANNES KLINGEBIEL they created this world of wonder, of jungles and oceans, of plains and deserts. There is more to find in here than you could possibly search for. But you will have all the time in the world.

“Laya” is another in the impressive Wind Horse roster seamlessly melding house music rhythms, traditional instrumentation from Indian and other world music in superlative production standards. Fenou was born in 2005. It is the first sublabel of Mo's Ferry and stands for this special musical output between more harmonious electronica and swinging minimal house... let's say "cuteminimalelectronica". The first releases are presented as cute mini-compilations consisting two tracks by two different artists. Later the label presented artist releases, as well. To drive the vinyl enthusiasts mad who favour not only day-by-day sounds the fenou releases are limited 10inch editions with hand painted cover artwork and serially numbered.
