From the 2020 "JamTune" series... this track features good friend and fellow musician/guitarist TIM JORDAN in a funk/rock/progressive, and spacey sounding collaborative creation.
This track was originally published and featured on my "Audric & Friends" SC site in 2020, during the era known as the "pandemic lock-down".
With the help and mutually shared inspiration of a small handful of LOCAL musician friends of mine, approximately a dozen fun and creative instrumental tracks where published within a half-year time frame.  
I refer to this special group of tracks collectively as the "JamTune" series.

07 I Want My Ira

It will be obvious to some listeners that the bass and drum groove of this track is based on John Coltrane’s iconic “Love Supreme”.  I recently discovered that I could superimpose another melody from a rather old composition of mine on top of this groove, which to my ears seemed to work together nicely.  So that, in a nutshell, is the story of how this track “PRIMORDIAL DANCE" was conceived.  I invited keyboardist TOM ALEXANDER to add his musical wizardry to this track. Tom and I have known each other for decades, and have engaged in many wonderful musical projects through the years. Tom’s approach and style is unique, fiery, and unpredictable… as you will hear! PRIMORDIAL DANCE (Audric Jankauskas/Tom Alexander-2018)

In December 2017, The New York Times revealed the existence of a Pentagon program investigating unidentified flying objects. For many people, the continued existence of such a program on UFOs came as a surprise, though the military has historically been known to conduct such studies. Most notably, the Air Force’s Project Blue Book investigated more than 12,000 claimed UFO sightings between 1952 and 1969.

Kate Dorsch, a doctoral candidate in the department of History and Sociology of Science, has been researching UFO encounters reported in Project Blue Book. Her dissertation covers the first “flying saucer” report in 1947 through the release of Steven Spielberg’s film Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) and investigates the creation of scientific knowledge and how this knowledge is communicated to the public.
