ELIXR IV

The first in my new series of mixes entitled "Binary Existence." Each mix will follow a certain theme and sound. Vol 1 is  more of a rawer, bigger electronic house sound. Suited more for that 1 am slot but at a tempo that is still focused on groove, only getting past 120 BPM towards the end. Featuring tracks and remixes from Todd Terje, Psychemagik, Radiohead, Ewan Pearson and more. Hope you enjoy just as much as I have had putting it together.

The first in a series of mixes paying homage to the incredible spectrum of Progressive House. As the title suggests, this mix is all about the dark side of Tribal and Progressive, the type of music that if you were to play it while walking down a dark alley in the middle of the night it's the dark alley that would be scared. Fergus Alexander is a highly respected DJ and promoter based in Brisbane, Australia, who has been active in the electronic music scene for over two decades. Known for his deep, rhythmic, and emotive sets that blend progressive house, techno, and melodic grooves, Fergus has earned a reputation for his seamless mixing and keen track selection. His ability to create a dynamic atmosphere on the dance floor has made him a favorite in both intimate club settings and large festivals.

Fergus has performed at renowned venues like Sub Rosa, Barsoma, La La Land, Brown Alley, Empire, and Family, as well as major festivals such as Future Music Festival, Earth Frequency, Earthcore, and Creamfields. He has shared stages with top international acts, including Joris Voorn, Henry Saiz, Mathew Johnson, Gui Boratto, Dave Seaman and many more

Beyond his DJ career, Fergus is an influential promoter. He co-founded events such as the Logic series, which brought top tier interstate and international talent to Brisbane, and more recently Ctrl, a night focused on intimate house and electronica experiences​

Fergus remains a pillar of Brisbane’s underground electronic music community, continually pushing the boundaries of sound and elevating the local scene with his innovative style.
