The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas for their first appearance. Needing little introduction and simply known as the maestro, Hernan Cattaneo is one of the world’s most beloved DJs and his Sudbeat Music imprint is widely regarded as one of the best in its field. With a career that spans over three decades, Hernan Cattaneo has recorded eleven albums, thirty singles and fifty remixes, all while touring the world delighting passionate music lovers with his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills.

Meanwhile, Australian artist Jamie Stevens has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his three-decade long career. As one of his country’s most talented and sought-after artists, Jamie has proven his skill in professional sound design, film scores and contemporary electronic music. Prolific and consistent in equal measure, Jamie has enjoyed a creative swell in recent years, landing releases via Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream, John Digweed’s Bedrock Records and Guy J’s Lost & Found.

The third member of the trio is American artist, DJ and promoter Anton Tumas. With a career that spans well over a decade, the Los Angeles resident has left an inevitable mark on the underground scene through his Subtract On The Pier residency and burgeoning Subtract Music imprint.

Last year the trio combined their extensive forces and took to reworking Pink Floyd's ‘Breathe (In the Air)’. Released in 1973 as part of the band’s iconic ‘The Darkside of the Moon’ album, the much lauded song remains as one of the group’s most revered and recognized creations. After several live airings by Hernan Cattaneo, perhaps most notably at BNP Open Life, the trio’s take on the iconic song has been shrouded in mystery, with fans hypothesizing who reworked the track in such grand fashion. Now, fifty years to the day after the original release of the song, we are pleased to offer Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas’ rendition as an exclusive free download. Enjoy.

LF RMX is a new series, exclusively featuring edits and remixes originally made by Len Faki for use in his own DJ sets. Now releasing them to a wider audience, the second edition presents two complementary contrasting versions of ‘Deep In’ by Stephen Brown. 

Sticking to the strengths of the source material, Faki’s sleek polish makes the centerpiece acid bassline and playful cut-up vocal stand out from the mix even more. Already quite a force to begin with, the momentum only keeps growing as oldschool drum breaks and additional percussion roll in. 

The original’s linear progression is traded for murky, modulating analog squelches on the Deepspace Mix, turning the tune into a dubby late-night groover, which still holds some surpises in store. 

As with all releases of the non-profit platform that is LF RMX, the proceeds of this record will be forwarded to the Berlin organization Straßenkinder e.V. to be used in actions against child poverty.

Fernando De Matos started at a very young age to play in various clubs in Geneva. His experience on the electronic techno scene in the heart of Europe exposed him to rich experiences which elevated and fined his tastes for electronic beats. He is a real chameleon, his sets are unique end miscellaneous with an eclectic touch that makes it possible to shift in between various techno styles like Melodic techno, Peak time or Psy trance /  Psy techno. The unique leitmotiv of his music brings to light love passion and high spirits.

As a performer he brought his sets and kicked the dance floor with a powerful balanced music defined by melodic, energic end force tune. He played in diverse clubs in all Europa and venues like Goya Social club in Madrid, Nada Temple in Lisbon, L’Industrie in Geneva. He is well known in European cities such as Barcelona, Lyon, Heraklion, Warsaw or Montpelier …
