Allan Wachs is a gifted singer/songwriter/guitarist and American roots artist. He has been recognized for his poetic insightful lyrics and moving melodies. His musical influences are drawn from the streets of Los Angeles to the backwoods of the Oregon coast range and  reflects the intersection of politics and everyday life with a lens on the broken-hearted, mis-treated, and the importance of keeping an open heart.

Allan produced and released the underground folk-rock vinyl rarity “Mountain Roads &  City Streets,” an album of ten original songs that continues to influence other artists to this day.  Music reviewer Eric Slyter said:

“Mountain Roads & City Streets has become one of my favorite albums. What I           love most about it is how personal the songs feel. They sound genuine…close to the heart of the writer. Though the tracks draw on well-established styles, there’s something about them that feels identifiably unique.”

Allan has also released a collection of original children’s music, “Songs For Children And Young Animals,” and chronicled L.A.’s 1992 riots with his song “Peace Is Not A Gun,” which is part of the last Fast Folk collection on the Smithsonian/Folkways label.

In 2016, his song “Mountain Roads” from his album Mountain Roads & City Streets was released by the Numero Group as part of its “Wayfarin’ Strangers” series “Cosmic American Music,” leading to the song being featured in the 2019 film “Wish Man.” Also in 2019, Allan’s song “Northwest Passage” won Song Of The Year at The West Coast Songwriter Competitions.

Wachs recently relocated to rural Sonoma County with his wife, Patrice and is actively writing, recording, and performing up and down California while continuing his career in film production.

Fernando Perdomo is a singer-songwriter from Miami who has made a major impact with his debut CD, "Home is Wherever You Are". His single "Smile" is currently in the Global Digital top 100. The legendary Rickie Lee Jones recently took to her Twitter to tell her fans to check out his symphonic acoustic sound.

Since moving to Los Angeles in June, Perdomo has had monthly showcases at popular venues like The Mint. He is also co producing a variety of artists including the long awaited second album by the legendary Linda Perhacs.

After an acclaimed career as a collaborative artist with landmark EDM innovators Balligomingo, Sleepthief, and Ryan Farish, Jody stepped back into her own music in 2013. Her 2013 release, Seven, was noted as a ‘breathtaking collection of soulful folktronic,’ and with her new release Stand Up (slated for April 2016), Jody has found new depths as a songwriter. Opening her heart up on topics of letting go, being true to yourself, heartache, depression, love, and hope, with a voice that beds down with the shivers under your skin, she will reach into your haunts and pull out the light. Her transcendent vocal style expands from silken sweetness to smoldering power. Musical Discoveries gushes: “This reviewer can hardly recall hearing a voice so elegant and controlled.”

Her Balligomingo collaboration “Purify,” was the first single from the Beneath The Surface release, and a staple of the DJ circuit, and received many remixes, including the Gus Gus version that hit the Billboard breakout charts at #3. Due to her beautiful melodies and insightful lyrics, Jody became a permanent member of Balligomingo and appeared on three subsequent Balligomingo releases; Under An Endless Sky, Origins, and Remix:Volume One.

With the groundbreaking electro project Sleepthief, Jody co-wrote and sang the first single, “Eurydice,” off its beloved debut, The Dawnseeker. She is also heavily featured on the sophomore album, Labyrinthine Heart, and the upcoming release Mortal Longing. The advance single for Mortal Longing, co-written and sung by Jody, wracked up over 24,000 views on YouTube in its first day online, and has currently reached over 71,000 views.

Since the release of Seven, Jody once again successfully crowdfunded for her new record, Stand Up. These 10 songs, co-produced with Winston Hauschild (Wanting, Hannah Georges, Bodhi Jones, Nat Jay, Hey Ocean) have some of Canada’s best musicians, and was mixed by Andrew Scheps (Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Beyoncé, Lana Del Ray) and mastered by Eric Boulanger (Neil Young, One Replublic, Kate Bush, Rachel Platen). The first single, a Pat Benatar classic, We Belong, is the only cover song on the album and pulls you in with Jody’s emotional voice and beautiful harmonies. As a bonus the digital release will include 5 exclusive remixes from Sleepthief, Tigerforest, Sheever, Dave Chick, and Nick Wax.

Jody’s voice and brand are becoming of considerable note and she has been asked to join the Live Your Dream Tour as both emcee and performing artist. Benefitting NAfME, VH1 Save The Music, and Little Kids Rock, the purpose of the Live the Dream Tour is to utilize an interactive and educational concert model to inspire children, young adults and community members to pursue music careers and is set to hit over 36 cities in 2016.

Jody discovered her innate talent at an open mic, singing with a friend to a packed and loud house of pub goers. Her pristine and angelic vocals hushed the crowd. When she finished, the room erupted applause and cheers. A new talent was born. “I thought ‘This is it, I think I’ve found my thing.’ It felt amazing,” she recalls.

Onstage, she is positively mesmerizing, she mines deep emotionality with disciplined focus. Between songs, her background in improv comedy shines through as she entertains with warmth and wry wit.

“It’s been a wonderful adventure with my own music,” she says of this new era. “I am so blessed by my fans and their support throughout my career, and especially on this solo journey.”

Stand Up is set to release digitally April 22nd with hard copies available April 15th.

I'm a singer and guitarist and produce music in my home studio. All tracks are my own compositions. Former member of 80s pop reggae group Amazulu. Some of the tracks posted were made with White Noise producer David Vorhaus. Mostly these days I do it all by myself at home, but do really enjoy collaborating and playing with others. The Parlophonics are making brilliant Power pop/Alternative rock despite having never been in the same room with each other. If anything, distance has only added grace and intention to the band’s sound, which is based in the classic British pop and rock of the 60s and 70s. Band members are songwriter Robert Horvath (Guitars, Bass), Fernando Perdomo (Guitars, Drums), and Hugh Macdonald (Leadvocals) are on track to release their debut album A Day in The Life in 2021. It’s a wonderful set of melodic original songs that was tracked remotely during the pandemic lockdown by sending files to each other online. 

Robert Horvath was inspired by the seclusion of the pandemic to record and finally release the songs he’s been writing his entire life. He enlisted Fernando Perdomo (Jakob Dylan, Carmine Appice) and Hugh Macdonald (Fairhazel) for the project and the three musicians developed a long-distance chemistry that lights up everything they play. The band has been compared favorably to The Beatles, Oasis, and Paul Weller but is far too nuanced and unique to be described in such simple terms. A Day in The Life is going to attract a global audience to this international group and deservedly so. Fans of superbly written pop/rock with indelible hooks and classic DNA need to discover The Parlophonics at once. You don’t know it yet but they’re your new favorite band.
