Kalliste is a British Composer and Producer from the North of England. Crossing multiple genres in the past, he is best known for his contaminated sound, which blends funk, soul, pop, disco and hip-hop with complex arrangements bringing a unique and distinctive groove to his music. 

Influenced by diverse artists spanning many different era's and styles of music, the Kalliste sound is clearly coloured by some of the giants of music including Zappa, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and Queen.

Kalliste is a bastardisation of the term 'Kallisti' which was made immortal in literature by Robert Anton Wilson, and refers to the story of the Golden Apple of Eris, a mythical tale of a fall-from-grace which set in motion the butterfly effect of human history from the fall of Troy to the modern day.

After DJing around West London since 2009, Rum and Tings was born out of a love of all things that are right about molasses and music.

Unphased by what you wear or who you turn up with, Rum and Tings is purely based on mixing old and new styles to create an eclectic sound that makes you want to get up and get low. Here, the music policy lives within the people who make it down and start the party. Using old school hip hop and reggae as their basis as well as reliving some older soul, disco and more underground vibes, Rum and Tings prides itself on being the every man’s party.
