A somewhat old song... Don't judge the harmonica and the beatboxing, I'm still learning! The inspiration came from a buddhist legend about this Hungry Ghost -being that always eats but never feels full or satisfied. (http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1315506)

Edelweiss The Sound Of Music

From the  1998 direct-to-film version of one the greatest Broadway musicals of all time, "Memory" (vocalized by Elaine Paige),  is sung by the character Grizabella, an outcast Jellicle Cat and one-time glamour cat who is now a shell of her former self. 
The song is a nostalgic remembrance of her glorious past and a declaration of her wishes to start a new life, and is seen by many as lamentation of repentance and desire for forgiveness.
