"For this one I definitely leaned into a little more of a dark and menacing vibe than I often do. I'll blame the bleakness that can come with New York winter and, well, the current state of the world in general certainly doesnt help. Despite all that, I really had fun playing with the idea of being amongst dying machines, lost in space for eternity, and having one's consciousness ripped to shreds by some kind of anomaly. That, and the idea that it could alternatively all be in your mind cause you've been lost for too long..."

Celebrating 50 episodes of my show on Radio Nul with a Jeff Mills top 50 in 50 minutes. Broadcasted on the 12th of March 2025.

I had a look at all the tracklists and Mr. Mills is by far the most played artist in my show for Radio Nul. With over 50 Mills records and a few CDs in my collection, it was fitting to mix my 50 favorite tracks for the 50th episode. And to keep it exciting: within 50 minutes.

It’s a blend of the well-layered Purpose Maker tracks, banging early Axis and Tresor releases, the Something In The Sky series, and various other wonderful tracks, including one of the few unreleased digital-only Purpose Makers.

I had to skip some records to narrow it down to only 50 tracks, but the main challenge was to mix them this fast. That took a different mixing technique, some nights of practice and a few recording attempts to reach this tempo.

Aitken Basin is track 5 from The Messenger cd. Aitken Basin on Sight Sound And Space is actually track 4 Dream Raiders on The Messenger.
The Resolution on Sight Sound And Space is not fully identical to B1 on Actual C/D.
