OceanLab release ‘Beautiful Together’ (Genix Remix), out now on Anjunabeats. 

OceanLab is the chart-hitting side project of Above & Beyond (Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamaki) and singer-songwriter Justine Suissa. 

With a discography spanning over two decades - including top 20 UK single ‘Satellite’ (2004), two top 25 UK dance albums (‘Sirens of the Sea’ in 2008 and ‘Sirens of the Sea Remixed’ in 2009), and two top 10 UK dance singles (‘Clear Blue Water’ in 2003, and ‘Satellite’ in 2004) -- OceanLab has cemented themselves as a seminal dance act with an undeniably unique sound, where Justine Suissa’s angelic voice and compelling lyrical perspective take centre stage.

OceanLab released their romantic vocal trance single ‘Beautiful Together’ in 2003. Featuring the ethereal vocals of Justine Suissa atop Above & Beyond’s balearic-tinged soundscapes, it would go on to burn the hearts of millions of OceanLab fans in the years to come. Now, techno powerhouse and Anjunabeats stalwart Damion 'Damo' Houchen, a.k.a. Genix, delivers his take on the OceanLab classic.

The past two years have seen Genix release his debut album '199X', close Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge Amphitheatre, launch his club-oriented ‘Warehouse55’ EP series and event brand, and sell out two headline Warehouse 55 events in London and Los Angeles. A return to the club music that made him an in-demand DJ, 'Warehouse55' embraces the harder side of Damo’s sound. 

Released last summer, Genix’s debut Warehouse55 EP gained support from Joris Voorn, who spun 'Ba55 I5land' in his headline set at Awakenings Amsterdam on New Year’s Eve, as well as Marco Carola, Maceo Plex, Chris Lake, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, John Digweed, Sam Paganini, and beyond. 

‘Beautiful Together’ (Genix Remix) is the second single from the forthcoming ‘OceanLab: The Anthology’ project, which celebrates the legacy of the iconic trance group through a series of new remixes, a digital compilation, and a limited edition vinyl box set product.

This year, Above & Beyond were the only British DJs to sell out two consecutive nights at Printworks as part of the iconic London venue’s closing season. They recently made a return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre to helm two shows alongside label stars from Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, and made an appearance at Insomniac's Escape Halloween festival in California.

The trio’s recent single, ‘Over Now’ with Seven Lions and Opposite The Other, amassed over 780K streams in its first week of release and earned spins on Sirius XM BPM, A State of Armin, iHeart Evolution radio and over 600 local stations worldwide.

Alex Sonata & TheRio and ilan Bluestone’s remixes on the seismic Worldwide 11 compilation receive a full release with the ‘Anjunabeats Worldwide 11 (The Remixes)’.

At the forefront of progressive and trance for almost a decade, London-based ilan Bluestone made his debut on Anjunabeats in 2012. Producing high-energy trance with heart and soul, his emotional, song-driven approach to dance music has earned him numerous Sirius XM spins, plaudits and remix requests from Oliver Heldens to Armin van Buuren and eleven genre chart #1’s on Beatport with a legion of fans around the world.

This year, ilan dropped the singles ‘On Me’ and ‘Blue Eagle’ on Anjunabeats, headlined sold-out shows in London, Manchester and Dallas, toured across North America, and graced us at Above & Beyond's Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge and Tomorrowland. Aside from his music, he’s also excelled as a pilot and fulfilled a childhood dream of making his first solo flight.

Fraser Shaw and Riccardo Derio first joined forces in 2018; after several collaborations, they made it official in 2020, and Alex Sonata & TheRio was born. The duo made their Anjunabeats debut with ‘Time’, a track released as part of our Rising EP series in 2021, and have since skyrocketed up the ranks of the global trance scene with an array of mesmerising tracks including 'Are We Dreaming', 'Cala Luna' and 'Breath Of The Wild'. 

The pair have shown no signs of slowing down this year: they kicked off 2023 with a remix of Andrew Bayer’s ‘Equal’; released ‘Mantra’, which Above & Beyond hammered at their headline performance at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and at legendary London institution Printworks; joined forces with Elevven on ‘Hanalei’, which shot to #4 in the Beatport Top 100 Trance chart; and, more recently, collaborated with trance linchpin Giuseppe Ottaviani and electro pop vocalist Tishmal on ‘Tears Of The Kingdom’.

The duo have earned support from trance icons like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Paul van Dyk, as well as the likes of David Guetta, Markus Schulz, Farius, Hernan Cattaneo and more on their releases this year alone. 

They recently followed up performances at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge, our Anjunabeats Outdoors show in Montreal and their sold-out Worldwide 11 launch event at The Poetry Club at SWG3 in Glasgow with an appearance at History in Toronto as part of our Anjunabeats After Dark showcase.
