Cracking song and I must admit when I seen the title I was thinking of Roy Orbison, and even though I do not really know the Motels, apart the ones that one stay in :) I somehow feel as if I have heard this song before. Fabulous job with you singing it here Steve and very well done my good friend...

I feel the lead is a bit repetitive, but that's what I played back then :)

Only the Lonely

Here is one of those obscure pieces that has survived from Baroque times that just overflows with the joy of living. I heard this first on a tape a friend gave me a few years back and worked out this arrangement for three saxophones, two alto, one tenor, from that recording. The piece was originally written for two violins and one cello.

Jean-Marie Leclair was a colourful character, French by birth, Italian trained, he worked for royalty and the aristocracy throughout Western Europe and had a fine reputation as a violinist as well as a composer. He came to a sticky end though, stabbed in the back in his own home. No suspect was ever charged or motive established, but he had many enemies, not least his ex-wife.

Anyway, this piece is such a joy to play. Hope you enjoy it too!

Dear friends, here's a return to my purely electronic/instrumental origins, with a quite daring experiment.&#13;
I hope not to scare those of you who grew accustomed to hearing my voice! :D&#13;
On the other hand, it could please those who may have grown tired of it! :D&#13;

Sara Brito @alock-4 has been so kind, sharing with us all the stems of her recent track Deconstructed Euphoria inviting us to freely stray even into the unexpected.&#13;
This was enough to put me in crazy scientist mode and mistreat some of those stems... Soon I was floating in the celestial atmosphere of a synth pad, while haunted by voices from the deepest abyss, and enchanted by siren-like creatures...&#13;
Different aspects of a whole universe were being expressed by Sara, and that led to the title, as "the universe in you".&#13;

Lee Lucas & Daion - Catching Fire

This is dedicated to Carole....my cello teacher of 7 years in a few weeks.....she has been dedicated to helping me reach my goals with the cello since my restart....a story that shows her commitment to my cello efforts (no matter what they are).....every year on our anniversary....May 2...i give her a cd with the pieces I have played/learned thruout the year.....she will now have 7 CD's....she tells me this all the time....when she gets home  after receiving it...she pulls all the others out and listens to them all...now, that would be the last thing I would want to do (and I don't) :-).....Carole, to me, defines the word teacher and I am a lucky cello to have her on my side ......

This is my favorite country hymn and there is a solo rendition also on my tracks...but, I wanted to do a cello duet  to add harmony.....I hope you like it :-)   I plan on doing more of this type of arranging (not all hymns) ....

Let It Go

It does not take long without playing for my guitar callused pinkies to get soft. So spending several hours practising minor third bends along with first finger whole step bends after some time out might not have been my best decision... Hence the photo, and this track. The title is obvious but the track was not what I'd planned: to have a bit of a blast as a contrast to my very first effort (Blue Sunday). 

Being a total wimp, my 'split ends' rather put paid to that. So, instead, here is a less taxing, slow, soporific blues style track that I rather enjoyed putting together today. I am still fumbling around with GarageBand - the program seems to pick up random noises, and somehow manages to make double stops sound a bit fart-like(!), rarely resonating in the same way as my amp, but the result seems pretty pleasant to my ancient lugholes.

If anyone wants to improve my simple effort with percussion, keyboard, vocals or guitar, please feel free to do so . It is a simple two chord cycle of Am G with emphasized lead notes targeted from each. Pretty easy to extend, so please message me if you fancy that idea too :

Blood On My Guitar Strings: Instrumental/Original

This is the 9th tune coming from my 13 song suite called ''Celebrating life'' composed and interpreted in the last 4 months of 2012. As you know, I will repost all these songs with a new guest collaborator and rename the suite ''Celebrating life with friends'' only 4 left :)
For this posting, my guest is Daniel van den Berg also known as DanArchX. . He is a wonderful talented and versatile guitarist.  He can play many style such asRenaissance lute, Flamenco, Classical guitar and fusion, however rock and metal.  In this performance on acoustic guitar, his comping (accompaniment) which is very uplifting and his solo (in the Paco de Lucia style) brings energy and light that gives a new dimension to the song .

Here is the idea behind this tune: 
The definition of transcendence is the existence or experience beyond the normal or physical level. "the possibility of spiritual transcendence in the modern world" and I made a pun by cutting the word transcendence in three : Trance (to enter in ecstasy ) in - Dance  For me, the type of music which brings everybody in ecstasy with a dancer is Flamenco. This song is not flamenco but the intensity of Dan’s playing (accompaniment and solo) gives the color of flamenco.

I hope you enjoy this song as much I did while doing this collaboration
