Bugged Out turns 30 next year, and this mix is made up of 30 records which represents each of those years from 1994 to 2023.

Myself, Johnno and Lemmy from Bugged Out all reflected on various points in the clubs history and the artists who have helped shape it, and chose records which felt are a representation of the sound of the club, not just historically, but where it stands now. 

Pulling together music from different eras and sounds was a bit of a challenge, and whilst some may not be the biggest track of their respective year - a few will be seen as classics and a healthy amount are perhaps obscure in relation - but to my ears they still sound as brilliant now as they did upon release. 

In a bizarre twist of fate, the oldest record from 1994 is mixed in with the newest from this year, which wasn't intentional. Clocking in at 2 and a half hours, the mix was recorded live in a single take, here in London.

J'ai fais ce podcast comme une lettre d'amour à toustes mes adelphes que j'ai eu le plaisir de faire danser.. 
Qui se sont réapproprié-es l'espace des dancefloor dans une énergie de dance libératrice.
J'ai essayé de faire une selection mixte d'artistes, entre pop, tubes queers & lesbiens et artistes en émergence. 

C'est impossible d'être exhaustive, le chemin musical que l'on va emprunter dans ce set ce sera : 
Reggaeton, Neoperreo, Afro, Dembow, Trap, Hip-Hop, BassHouse, Jersey Club, Bouyon, Hyperpop, Deconstructed Club et Hybrid Club...

Au milieu de tout ça, y'aura sûrement des paroles un peu trop politiques, d'autres un peu trop sexuelles.. On va pas commencer à se censurer.
Et puis c'est fait pour rendre mal à l'aise les éditorialistes de Cnews et votre tonton "je suis pas raciste mais.." qui seraient là par hasard.

A la base j'voulais appeller ce set "Materiellement Queer", mais le matérialisme c'est une notion philosophique à laquelle on fait dire tout et n'importe quoi et j’ai pas voulu m’engager là dedans..
Du coup j'ai préfèré partir sur "Matière Queer", La matière c'est la substance qui constitue le monde sensible, qui existe et qui compose tout corps. 

Merci à RTL3 de m'avoir ouvert leurs locaux pour enregistrer ce podcast, et à Bee, Lawani et Seb qui m'ont donné de la force pendant que je mixais.
Ainsi qu'à toutes les personnes qui m'ont fait danser ou qui m'ont fait découvrir leurs sons de coeur, que j'ai eu l'honneur de croiser sur ma route ces derniers temps.
