Bennet made their Body Language debut on 12.08, serving up an all-vinyl masterclass in the Queer and joyful roots of rave! 

Picture this: it’s 5:30 in the morning and you’re on a sexy, sweaty Body Language dancefloor. The crowd is a sea of smiles, and the dancefloor is literally dripping from the heat of the moment as Bennet traverses through oldskool house, early progressive house and trance, breaks, and early rave hymns.

Rooted in Hannover’s local scene, Bennet is part of the DJ-collective soft spot, co-founded the party series Buttercup and holds a residency at Weltspiele.

Bennet started mixing their favorite vinyls during lockdown, seeking for affects and energetic repercussions of the imaginative dance floor. Going all across the board, they always recur to the dancefloor’s utopian notions of togetherness and unity and political dimensions of the body.

 131bpm: "Constantly evolving musically, he is making a name for himself as a DJ and producer known for his signature booty boppin’ and back breaking rhythms. Influenced by various electronic music sub-genres like vocal house, Detroit classic electro-breaks, 90s progressive and Latin music, his sets are always sweaty and sexy, scattered with catchy basslines, nasty vocals and bouncy percussions. He became resident at the party Vitamina in Milan in 2018. He recently released his first album on Body Language’s label - party in Berlin where he is also a resident playing regularly since 2022."

A track/record of your choice that means a lot to you and, if you feel like sharing, why: 
131bpm: „It's always hard for me to chose a specific record or artist since I'm constantly digging for new music, but I've recently been playing "I Want You Back" by X-Press 2 a lot. It's such a sexy track, starting very emotionally and mysterious, with very sultry vocals, and progressing more and more into someting tribal and ecstatic.“

Bogota-born, Berlin-based Tania Humeres Correa aka @thc_dj has perfected the art of high-energy sounds that get big room crowds close together. The Rinse FM host has her own party series La Noche with Byron Yeates and sibling DHC, and with the latter plays back-to-back as S-candalo. Acid, potent rave bangers, vocal gems and deeper delights all feature in her sets which always look to combine an unbridled sense of party with plenty of emotional nuance.

This week's mix was recorded just after the start of festival season so is aimed at getting your summer started in style. Staying true to her signature house sounds with plenty of warmth, euphoria and rolling grooves, it's a perfect representation of her ideal dance floor soundtrack. While leaning towards the energy of the main stage and "anthemic vastness," her selections never forget about the all-important elements of intimacy and soul which help the beats make a lasting impression.

Recording Lowlands Festival closing set

This mix was recorded live during the closing of the Bravo Stage at Lowlands, in front of more than 10,000 people, from 03:00 till 05:00 in the morning.

Two hours of memories, tributes, and discoveries: an homage to everything I’ve heard, loved, and lived through at a festival like Lowlands.

As BSS, I wanted to make it more than just another dj set, it’s a journey through the music that has shaped all my music taste thru festivals like this.

From Oneohtrix Point Never, The Knife to Underworld, from big podium anthems to the latest gems by friends and peers like Jasmín on Hessle Audio or Vegyn’s Headache, the mix is filled with the artists and sounds that have inspired me on stage and beyond.

You’ll also hear unreleased remixes and personal edits of big songs, unique moments that could only happen there, in that tent, with that crowd.

Standing there, closing a festival this big surrounded by so many beautiful human beings, I felt both the weight of the past and the promise of what’s still ahead. This mix is a thank you, for the music, the friendships, the sunsets and sunrises, and the chance to grow with all of it.
