Description: I used a song I love called Nocturne by Paul Mauriat. However I gave it a dark twist. Imagine you are sleeping and are having a sweet dream, until you aren't. It becomes a Nightmare and you are jumping back and forth from dream to nightmare back to dream and so on.

I wanted to start with my favorite instrument, the Piano. I played some notes, got some inspiration and a little melody came through. I feel it is rather melancholic, and honestly if a future assignment includes adding a second instrument, I am all in to add a Violin and make the Piano and Violin duo make a nice song together. #COM381soup

COM381soup - Assignment 1 - DOWN

For this version, I improved a few things. First, on the first version I was using one of the pre recorded MIDI tracks for Piano, which did not give a very natural piano sound. For this version I switched to the Grand Piano and it sounds so much more natural. I used an actual Piano to record this, and for some reason while recording some notes that I should not have pressed recorded and make a few bits of the song sound unnatural. For this version I went and fixed those bits so that it sounds better. Finally for the end of the song I slightly modified the ending so that it sounds a little softer and not too rushed.
