Omid Nourizadeh also known as Omid 16B, is a DJ whose passion for cutting edge electronic music is unrivalled. As a DJ and producer, songwriter, musician and label boss, Omid has forged a unique and prolific career as one of the world’s most talented and respected musicians and producers.
He’s much regarded as one of the leaders who pioneered the tech house movement back in the early nineties, alongside the likes of Carl Craig, Vince Watson, Craig Richards, Mr C, Steve Bug and Francois K .
Growing up in London, with Persian roots, Omid was influenced by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Cure, Depeche Mode, RIDE and The Mission. Throughout his teens he became an accomplished musician playing a list of instruments while attending Richmond College and utilising the music rooms at any given chance.

C//TY CLUB is a monthly party at Bossa Nova Civic Club in Brooklyn, featuring resident DJ's LAUREN FLAX + GAVIN RUSSOM, produced with ZACHERYALLAN STARKEY.



ZGRT is the new musical project from New York City based songwriter/producer Zachery Allan Starkey. A staple of Brooklyn’s underground electronic music and art scene for nearly a decade, Starkey released 3 critically acclaimed solo albums of lyrically inspired synthpop before forming ZGRT, which combines electronic synthesis and aspects of techno, house, and post-punk with emotional songwriting. The first ZGRT single, HARD POWER, was produced by Starkey in conjunction with acclaimed DFA Records colleague Gavin Russom, known for his work with LCD Soundsystem, Black Meteoric Star, and The Crystal Ark. Along with Russom and Lauren Flax (CREEP), Starkey also co-founded one of the most respected underground parties in the Bushwick, Brooklyn Techno/House scene, C//TY CLUB.
 
With HARD POWER, Starkey creates a bold reflection of America's role in never ending wars abroad and surveillance state at home. A twelve minute long dance odyssey transports the listener into a sensual auditory experience replete with driving arpeggiated synth bass lines, analogue synths and dark danceable beats.Vocals ranging from dreamy and sensual to hard and powerful directly reinforce a political dichotomy between hard and soft power - lulling the listener into auditory, paternalistic comfort before launching solid bass lines and a figurative auditory assault. Maternal and paternal references in the song further invoke a dreamy state of political complacency required to launch an attack and reinforce hard power. The latter half of the song is a soaring auditory experience transporting a listener through the night sky on a figurative attack mission which doubles as an aural one. In addition to a wonderful dance track, the song is a powerful, participatory reflection on an individuals role in current events. The striking HARD POWER music video is directed by Mamiko Kushida,  William Murray, and Starkey himself.

With the ZGRT live show, Starkey presents a collaborative, live, synth based endeavor with a rotating cast of musicians. The resulting work is a sonic testament to Starkey’s journey from a working class upbringing to participation in a broader world of club music on New York City's dance floors.

The Crystal Ark is Gavin Russom's body-centric, New York avant-pop collaboration with Viva Ruiz. The group began when Russom asked Ruiz to write and sing Spanish lyrics over a pair of instrumentals he had created blending his signature hypnotic synthesizer sound with distinctly danceable beats. Ruiz's vocalizations, which blended song, spell and rallying cry, took these pieces to new heights and the result was the group's first two singles released on New York's DFA label: "The City Never Sleeps" and "The Tangible Presence of the Miraculous".  The second single featured percussionist Alberto Lopez's fierce polyrhythmic drumming as a supplement to the already driving electronic pulse.  A desire to carry the sound forward and expand it further solidified the collaboration. The nucleus of the band began to crystallize as they drew together a group of dynamic individuals with different creative and cultural backgrounds; including Lopez, vocalists Jaiko Suzuki and Sokhna Heathyre Mabin (whom Viva had worked with previously), bassist Tyler Pope and electronics expert Matt Thornley (both of whom Gavin had worked with during LCD Soundsystem's final tour) and 2nd bassist Eliza Douglas.

Gavin and Viva created a collection of new music, specifically designed as an album, and gathered the group to record their self-titled full length debut. Released in October 2012, the album showcased the collective’s adventurous multidimensional soundscape. Featuring tracks like “We Came To”, “Rain”, “Ascension” and “Morir Soñando”, the set vividly reflected the surging intensity of New York City itself through pulsing meditations about possibility, transformation and opening up to the forces of nature.

The live show expands this recorded output into a multi faceted ultra-sensory performance, often adding dancers Discos and Alberto Cortes and a video crew comprised of Bec Stupak and Johnny Woods, to fully realize their celebratory sonic and visual aesthetic. Always eager to bring the party, they hit the road in many combinations - from a 5 person core group to a 13 person art ensemble - performing all over the world at premiere venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Palais De Tokyo, The Hirshorn Museum and MOMA PS1, festivals like Noise Pop and Serralves em Festa, as well as many sweaty, dark night clubs.
