It was one of the pieces I recorded in 1993 for some kind of "therapeutic CD" for patients with Tinnitus. The main part of this tape was a text, spoken by a therapist. My guitar music should remain muted in background. That's why we didn't spend much time with the music recording. I entered my favourite studio with a pile of scores and we recorded 50 minutes of music in not much more than one hour. Most of the music I played more or less prima vista, which means playing without really having practised it before. In front of microphones, that was a really new and very exciting experience ! ;-)

Anyway... I like a few of these recording results, though they obviously can not be considered as a professional recording for something like an "artist CD". But, maybe, they are not bad enough to hide them completely, so I will present some of them too.

Though never been a real  "ancient music"-player, I loved  the pure substance in old, timeless jewels like this one. So please don't pillory me for that ;-) ***

Étude in E-minor (op.35 Nr.24) by Fernando Sor

Diego Pisador was born around the year 1510 in Salamanca/Spain. He played the vihuela, an ancient form of the guitar, also known as "viola da mano".
Pisador composed this Pavana around the year 1552. Expecting, that it would be quite easy to play he described it as : "Pavana muy llana para tañer".
