Justin Schultz is a 20-year old producer and musician from the East Bay of California. He has been producing under the artist name Spirit Animal for three years now, progressing from making chillwave to making more experimental electronic music over that time period. As a producer and a musician, Justin has always strived to make his music sound very diverse and different from the rest. His music stretches from glo-fi to deep house over the course of the EP. The remixes by SpAceLex („Stay High“), Tronik Youth Kontakt High („Stay High“), Disko Selectors („Nightmusic“) and Lazy Kiss („Nightmusic“) broaden the spectre from golden to plastic beauty.

Says the legend that on an eclipse ocasion, both guarani and inca people threw a big party to daze the Celestial Ounce (Xivi), because they believe that the end of the world would happen when she gobbles the Moon and Sun brothers, then the Earth falls thus in the fullest darkness. Just as Xivi, Raru is the hindu demon followed by a tiger that also tries to voraciously swallow the stars, causing the eclipses. Like these, countless ancestral myths around the world explain this phenomenon; for the Pomo people there is a fight between the Bear and the Sun, and for the Tlingit it is the moment of stealthy darkness for the Moon and the Sun to love each other.

With the idea to represent the whole musical spectrum that Heimlich stands for, the label sticks to combining newcomers, old and new friends as well as well-established artists. Daniel Steinfels starts off an episode of trippy elements followed by tracks from artists such as Arutani and Hobta, just to name a few, who pick up this idea of spacy synth elements. The first psychedelic episode is followed by rather organic interpretations from artists such as Ulisses, Xique-Xique and many more that drive the compilation to South America and right back again without forgetting about the latest Disco-ish side of the Heimlich imprint featuring a track by the infamous Janefondas. Pheromone Blue is back to Sincopat with their exquisite mixture of acoustic and electronic music. In their second visit to the label they bring an emotive 'Euphoria EP' which includes also their new club set. For remix duties we present the also Mexican talent Bufi.
The band has lately improved their approach to the club re-organizing their sound and taking it to the next level. Awake speaks of our resistance in a society that makes things difficult for us. Society doesn't value the human being and focuses more and more on 'having', 'power' and 'pleasure'. Introducing synths and piano the song became darker and more intense and adding the acoustic drums the song was ready for the dance floor. Mexican artist Bufi presents a really organic and powerful remix where he adds new and different melodies with his particular and crazy style. Fences is the most emotional track of the EP. They wrote it when they got the news that the father of a friend had left to walk the mountain and he had been surprised by a big snowstorm. The waiting was desperate, that rescue did not arrive, so this song is a true prayer of optimism and hope.

El Gran Poder plucked Zundel from his small town of Dolores in Argentina and catapulted his sound onto a global stage. He was revered by the likes of The Fader and Bandcamp, who referred to him as an electro-folk alchemist - and that he is. 

On June 7, Lagartijeando casts a new spell with Jallalla, an ambitious new full length being released on Wonderwheel Recordings. Jallalla is a word used in Bolivia to celebrate something- and it’s a word that strengthens in meaning when more people say it together. Jallalla is an entire life in an album - beginning with what would be the sonic representation of pulling back reeds to discover a new path with the song Villazon-Potosi and its sparse electronic percussion gradually filled in with curiosity-giving winds. Following is joyful charango riff that becomes the base for the track La Frontera, which features the sweet, wispy voice of Minük, the Colombian artist Alejandra Ortiz, known as half of the duo Lulacruza.
