In 2016, I was working at an electronics store where this track kept playing. Back then, I was deliberately avoiding pop music — but Sia’s voice cut through everything and stayed with me.

Eight years later, I stumbled upon the acapella and recorded the first demo of this remix that same evening.

This is the first in a series of reworks of tracks that left a mark on me. All of them will be available for free download.

Black Petals is about staying strong—even when life feels too heavy to carry. This track dives deep into some of the darkest moments I faced growing up, the kind that nearly broke me. But it’s also a reminder: there’s still beauty in the struggle. 🌑🌸

This beautiful beat was produced by the incredibly talented Eweezy, someone who’s believed in me since day one. He saw something in me I hadn’t even discovered yet—and for that, I’m forever grateful. 🙏🏽

Fun fact: The male adlib you hear in the second verse is my real brother—someone who literally saved my life when I no longer wanted to be here. Love you big bro… always. 🖤

Black Petals (Prod. Eweezy)

Milk & Honey suggests abundance, but also the longing for it. It traces the quiet aftershock of feeling, when softness meets weight, when sweetness carries memory. There is comfort here, but it arrives layered and uncertain.
On the title track, that complexity comes into focus through Enya’s beautiful vocal performance. Her instrument-like intonation holds the tension with grace, drifting through the piece like light slipping through fractured glass: fragmented, luminous, intimate. The result is not resolution, but resonance, a moment suspended between healing and remembering.
