Golden Hour

This is an intercontinental collaboration with the amazing artist Sonic Structures and Silent Stretches. We waded in vague volleys until form took shape. They describe it well here:

the lyrics: We started out with random fragments of phonemes that solidfied into several iterations of lyrics. the version of the lyrics sounded out here is composed by RANSOM AND THE MOOD and somewhat inspired by me.
the sounds: the basic song was created by RANSOM and I picked up on his cues and did my best to develop them further.
the image: photograph by jo richter, athens, museum of antiquities, 2012 (by the way, I still think the wrong head was merged with this torso for the antikithera exhibition ;-)

gold in her hair
flames in her hush
time folds the air
no need to rush

leaves in a dance
spinning through vows
braiding the trance
under green boughs

ode in her stride
Athena in shade
stars in her tide
the meanings cascade

clouds drift above
syntax in bloom
she hums of love
vapors consume

fossil minds stray
stone burned by chance
lost in the grey
too dazed to dance

she walks through frames
cracks in the scheme
whispers her name
half smile, half dream

no gods declare
they're humming her tone
and in the air
you're not alone

storm through the still
thoughts can be mold
she bends the will
with truth, silver, gold
