Writer, neuroscientist, musician/producer based in Muscle Shoals, AL: 

I've always heard music in my head. Sometimes bits - a melody, rhythm,  chord progression - sometimes full pieces. I build on what I’m given. I'm very grateful. 

My childhood influences were mostly soul, blues, Southern gospel, country, and jazz. I’ve absorbed a bit of almost everything else since. I have no formal training. That has drawbacks, but it makes it easy to bend or ignore rules. 
 
Almost NONE of my music fits into an existing genre. There’s a saying the Marines have about dealing with obstacles: “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome”. I agree. I took the liberty of creating a new category for myself and like-minded musical artists: INTERGALACTIC MUSIC. 

We'll all learn exactly what that means together. For now, I'll say that I seek to honor the past while creating something new, and do my heroes proud in the process.

We’re a band located in Muscle Shoals, AL home to many talented folks. We have a revolving cast of amazing musicians that play with us when we play out but don’t do a lot of shows. This band was created by me Jason Randolph. My wife Michelle & I play solo gigs out occasionally as a duo & we’re the two that’s a consistent in River Tribe. The magical J.J.Bartlett is our go to for lead guitar player when we play out live .
