@zahvat (real name Dariia Kornieieva) is a Kyiv-based DJ who preaches a track-centered approach in her practice. According to it, tracks aren’t selected by the genres, but by the track’s value. As a result — you get a story that is interesting to listen. “Zàhvat” is a Ukrainian word that describes a feeling or state of extreme satisfaction. That’s the condition in which the DJ wills to immerse the listeners. Dariia played at such places as Brudnyi Pes Festival, Stezhka, ∄, etc.

In this mix, you will walk from dark hip-hop to drumfull but melodic experimental breakbeat. This is an unconsciously made illustration of the feeling of a human, who lives in a state of war throughout the year: sorrow, uncertainty, but absolute unbreakability.

Join us for the third episode of Iriy Frequencies, as we delve into the roots of modern bass music with a focus on two influential labels from the UK leftfield scene: Livity Sound and its experimental counterpart, Dnuos Ytivil. This episode is exclusively curated by Montronique, a resident of Livity Sound, who has prepared a selection showcasing the depth and diversity of the label's offerings.

Livity Sound, inspired by the Rastafarian concept of life-force, was established in 2011 by dubstep pioneer Peverelist. While rooted in UK Garage, the label has explored modern dub and fluxwork, shaping modern bass music genres and nurturing artists in traditional styles. Dnuos Ytivil, its darker twin, offers a collection of heavier, more experimental urban bass music.

Outset focuses on the initial performances that kick-off events, allowing one to experience and appreciate the music that sets the tone for the evening.

The first episode is a set from Backyard Opening 05.05.2024 by ecce lizard. It’s the multi-genre journey of varying intensities and weights that starts with ritual ambient and gradually evolves into a thoroughly executed exploration of rhythms, timbres, and moods from different cultures and eras. Fluid, yet consistent.


Ethereal and evolving soundscapes during the first hours of each Community Event, always a reason to come earlier.
