In addition to the "Best Of Ambient" compilation from John Beltran, two remixes are made to honour one of our favourite electronic music producers of all time. The a-side gives us a reinterpretation of "Brilliant Flood" from rising star Kassem Mosse together with his studiomate Mix Mup. This remix smoothly pimps up the track whilst leaving the atmosphere of the original intact. On the b-side, Sven Weisemann made a composition as a tribute to John Beltran, which contains elements of different original cuts. The result is Sven's Glorify Tribute Mix, a dreamy epic adventurous nine-minute masterpiece in three parts.

It’s fair to say that Boris Bunnik has made an impact in his short career. In less than a decade this dutch man, under monikers like Conforce and Versalife, has scaled Electro and Techno with subtle ambient touches and IDM echoes. And that’s exactly what he’s doing for the Singularity EP. Lush pads and flowing bars punctuated by crisp percussion, “Shine Eye” sets the scene. “Autobots” adopts those same brittle beats, this time using them to send dreaming strings skyward. Northern winds swirl around the colder chords of “MILnet”, chords that dawn into absorbing swirls of “Transgenics.” Masterful machine music.

The jungle was a perilous place for an untrained explorer. However, he was no mere forest wanderer but a man of expedition and might. He was a man of M.Island and he had trawled the wildest reaches of our earth in search of gold and silver, an explorer in the most enigmatic of senses. As the rain began to pour between the trees it did not  worry him, for he knew that after the water came light and heat. Greenery was all around and it was illuminated by the tropical damp from above. 

James I.V caught our attention when his new EP landed in our inbox a month or so ago. This one is mighty interesting and will be released very soon.
