While walking through the garden, I passed the wishing well
I strolled on through the meadow where the big oak tree once fell
And thought of all the stories that Grandpa used to tell

I remembered having fun, oh how we used to play
While running through the tall green grass, I’d sometimes lose my way
But wind up safely home at the end of every day

And though I never grew up, I wound up an old man
Now I gaze upon the hollow where the sleepy brook once ran
And try so hard to cling to all the memories that I can

Then I’d fall into a slumber and dream all through the night

And wake up just in time to see the morning light

I never, ever, even had a simple store-bought toy
But the farm was always filled with different wonders to enjoy
I miss those fond reflections when I was just a boy

This creative team met back in high school in Houston, Texas in 1969. They became friends quickly and discovered a unique synergy early on – songwriting. Keith manifested his expressions mostly in the area of lyrics, while Raji fashioned his creativity through melodies and arrangements.

The number of songs that they generated as young teens in a short period of time was incredible. What was even more astonishing was that neither of them could read a musical note, and yet they were able to compose lyrics, tunes, chords, beats, and develop sophisticated arrangements.

School, work, marriage, children, and associations with other bands threw them onto separate life paths. Raji continued composing with other bands and on his own, while Keith officially took a long hiatus.

The team temporarily regrouped in the early 1980’s for a few profound Christian musical offerings. Eventually, Raji found the time and energy to record many of their earlier songs and publish them – both in several of his novels and on soundcloud.com. Then in late 2021 they regrouped once more to continue their creative journey together.
