With Formula 3 SCI+TEC revisits our hugely popular V/A series and a collection that has already introduced you to many of the labels brightest and rising talents. Our latest five track instalment mixes youth and experience as we welcome new and established artists, four of which make their SCI+TEC debut.

First of the new school and opening Formula 3 is HUGE with 'Silicon'. Raw house beats, rasping hats and metallic stabs that slice through like butter make up this grooving opener. Charismatic French producer Florian Gasperini delivers our next component in the form of 'Sunday 2pm'. A deeper tech affair, its the perfect soundtrack to those afternoon terrace moments.

Active Line Six take us for a ride on their 'Roller Coaster' with rippling bass and snapping snares, the understated groover is a great introduction to the SCI+TEC newbies. Israel's Itamar Sagi steps aboard with the weighty and throbbing vocal number 'Hipster', before label regular Refraction closes this winning formula with the pumping drive of 'Mayans'.

Faki and Heil team up again for the third installment in their collaboration series. Well known for their high production values and unique ability to capture the kind of intense energy needed on the dancefloor, Vol. III sees the two masters on top form again.

A devilish combination of weighty break-beats, clattering old-school snares and static electricity, ‘Perception’ takes a spoken word sound-byte and twists it into a monstrous beast, filtering and snaking over 7 minutes. Perhaps their most intense club moment crafted together so far, Faki and Heil bring all their years of experience and love for their art to the table. A welcome return to some of the pair’s classic studio hardware, ‘Happy 808’ shows off masterful drum programming, coupled with a super-spacey mixdown, that elevates the 808 to new extremes. Track 'One' is built around a continuous driving synth stab which is supported by hard hitting jacking beats that will blend in naturally. On the flip side we have track 'Two'. With a stingy staccato rhythm this tool probably will have a sudden impact and no doubt it will make every dance floor rumble.
