In the year 1991 when the techno development was becoming a monster wave there was one record on R&S Records which became a game changer in my life.

I´m writing about "Energy flash" by a young producer from Brooklyn called Joey Beltram! I still get goose bumps when I even think about the night when I heard the track for the first time ever at Mayday in Berlin Weissensee.

Everybody was there, from Sven Väth to Frank de Wulf, from Speedy J to The Hypnotist (god bless you, Caspar). So you can imagine how happy I am now that Joey remixed "The overture" and yesss, again he made a monster tune. Thanx to Christian Smith for realizing this project...

Buenos Aires producer Adrian Hour returns to Coyu's Suara Music with the twelfth edition of the label's 'Techno Tools' series this May. To date the Argentinian has appeared numerous times in the series alongside artists like Boris and Jewel Kid, such his quality that he's welcomed back into the fold with open arms and he brings with him four standout club-oriented weapons.

'Avalon' is a funk-fill bomb with an all-consuming low end element, while 'Happening' is a darker, moodier affair surrounded with an eery, tense atmosphere. As for 'Connected', it's a dreary and hypnotic production. 'Markers' closes out the release with a relentless energy and a awesome rise to the climax. The release, which follows up a dynamite EP on Toolroom Trax and a remix opportunity on German imprint SNOE, marks another big step in the development of Hour, who's grown from an unknown youngster to a mainstay in the techno scene. House music legend Kerri Chandler has produced a prolific body of work since his first release in 1991. He serves a classic slice of house music with intricate percussion and solid groove, while Magda offers a stellar version where quirky beats and spacey stabs are the serve of the day.
Carl Cox is a true veteran in the industry at the top of his game with a worldwide radio show and immensely successful residency at Space in Ibiza. Masterfully he spins the original into a rolling techno beast for those peak time hours.

Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo delve deeper for their remix with penetrating atmosphere flowing across a punchy groove. The pair released their first collaboration on Visionquest last year and have since been working in the studio together on various forthcoming projects.
