Already an established producer as the former half of 'Hertz' (1605, Underwater), Petter B's solo work has been gaining the attention of the great and good of Techno throughout 2013. This gritty three track EP only adds to Petter’s credentials with his slick productions bringing elegance, energy and harmony to the raw and abrasive style for which he is known; exemplified here by heavy pulsing rhythms and bouncing bass on ‘Guns For Hire’, the raw in-your-face funk of ‘Clap Track’ and abrasive, distorted musicality in ‘Edit Pilaf’. H-Productions colleague, Nima Khak, remixes ‘Guns For Hire’, bringing a slow burning, hypnotic feel, as he skillfully sets industrial ambience and metallic sounds against warm psychedelic squelches.

Opening up the single is ‘Around’, a boomy up-tempo Techno cut, constructed around penetrating rhythms, piercing stab sequences and rumbling low-end. Maxime then introduces eerie, tonal atmospheric sweeps into the depths of the background to build tension, while baroque structural changes make for an energetic listen.
Title cut ‘Epur’ is up next, embracing a similar heady aesthetic with galvanic stab lines, earth- shattering sub bass and an ever-blossoming dynamism, in contrast to the sharp changes of the preceding track, Dangles opts for a smoother more subtle progression with ‘Epur’ with it’s gradually evolving feel.
We then see the package rounded off with ‘ThonQ’, rounding off the package brilliantly as we see Maxime veer into dub territories, fusing weighty analogue drums with drawn-out, echoing chord stabs and sporadic expansive reverb bursts to create yet another intense darkroom dance floor workout.

Adam Beyer is back on Drumcode with an impressive array of tracks that will get the senses tingling and shows us what Drumcode is all about. These 4 tracks are deep and almost melancholic in their approach to techno, using effects to really help enforce an ambience only Beyer can achieve within his productions. The under lying throbbing of the drums drives this EP into the forefront of the heads down Drumcode sound and have been heard in many of Beyer’s phenomenal sets throughout the year.

Christian Wünsch's brand new EP on PoleGroup is here: four cuts of precise but stomping techno mixing material, carefully crafted in his analogue lab, somewhere in the north of Spain.
The release starts with "Microorganisms". Its percussive madness, resonant sweepy sequences and sonic excellence sum up this track.
Second on the list is "Organic Molecules". Opaque kick drums next to luminous hi hats, different percussive layers and its obsessive sequences are the ingredients of this recipe.
Coming up is "Cosmic Radiation", with a return to punchy drum elements, tensioned synthesized sequences and a clever arrangement, all peppered with his trademark sound.
Finally, "Chemical Reactions" features heavy sub-bass action and a sound that is similar to the other components of the EP. An effective tool for effective selectors out there.
