Da Stereopol slapp sitt første knippe låter i form av en debut-EP i 2011, ble musikken beskrevet som stor og filmatisk pop med distinkt vokal. De ble raskt kronet Ukas Urørt og samtlige 5 spor fant veien til rikskringkastede radiobølger. Året etter kom debutalbumet "Timbres & Phrases" som GAFFA og Øyvind Berekvam kalte en "...oppsiktsvekkende sterk debut" og albumet resulterte i en perlesnor av femmere i bloggosfæren og lokalaviser.
 
Denne vinteren er Stereopol i studio med nytt material for første gang som kvintett. Første resultat av dette er spretne "Fingertips" som hinter om et mer raffinert og perkussivt lydbilde. Låta slippes 7. mars i form av en 7" på Diamond Club, og det går også rykter om en leken musikkvideo. Bandet er i studio hele våren og har planer om å slippe flere singler før albumet kommer til høsten.
