The Dig - How Can You Trust A Feeling

The Lost Ark Studio presents "Photos of Madrid" by Filligar, the latest single from the Lost Ark Studio Compilation - Vol. 06.

Filligar is a touring indie rock quartet hailed as "one of the best young bands in America." The lineup -- three Mathias brothers and Casey Gibson -- remains unchanged since the band's early days recording and performing as teenagers in Chicago. Live performance is the band's lifeblood. They've been named one of music's "Next Big Things" by SPIN Magazine and listed along with Wilco, Delta Spirit, and Heartless Bastards "One of America's Top 8 Live Acts" (Boston's RSLmusic blog). The U.S. Department of State recently honored Filligar with an appointment as cultural ambassadors representing American arts and values, and this summer the band will travel on a diplomatic trip to Eastern Europe for performances and outreach programs.

Filligar has produced a prolific catalog of original music, called "a breath of fresh air" by the powerhouse Consequence of Sound" and recognized by the American Society of Composers, Authors, & Publishers (ASCAP) as "of prestige value." Filligar - Photos of Madrid

Recorded near the Venice Beach canals in a turn-of-the century gondola garage just steps from the Pacific surf, Filligar’s upcoming album Keepsakes of the Interior was a meditative exploration for the band. Traveling as cultural ambassadors for the US State Department, Filligar embraced sights and sounds of this global experience. From the Amerindian music of South America to the maritime songs of the Arabian gulf to the emerging punk scenes of the greater Middle East, the quartet’s travels abroad influenced the music and lyrics.

Featuring singles “Motor Shine” and “White Light Rose” among eleven original tracks, Filligar will release Keepsakes of the Interior on April 21st, 2015. The band kicks off 2015 with a tour produced by Communion Music, the artist collective formed by Mumford & Sons that includes Gotye, Twin Peaks, and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes. All dates are below.
