They are the perfect playgrounds because they combine elements of our real world with speculative elements that do not exist in real life - @viers enters into the first dream of dystopia unleashing four mechanical and thumping,  club fuelled tracks.

USA’s Jon Hester serves up four heady techno cuts for the second instalment in Rekids’ newly launched techno orientated series Special Projects.

Based in Berlin, Hester’s discography may be humble but it is one of pure quality. The American techno producer has released on Rødhåd’s Dystopian, appeared on a release alongside the likes of DJ Richard, Hinode and Arthur Kimskii (Point Break) on L.A.G., and now joins the Rekids Special Projects series featuring FBK, Markus Suckut and DJ Deep.

Heaving distorted kicks and echoing stabs lay the blueprint to ‘Inertia’ whilst intricate hats make way for metallic melodies. Speeding things up, ‘On The Move’ is a more driving cut in comparison with its trippy atmospherics and crunchy percussion, whereas the surging ‘Short Circuit’ demonstrates syncopated percussion and ominous synths for a rhythmic dancefloor workout. Finally, ‘Neurons’ sees various cosmic elements ebb in and out of the mix for a mesmerising conclusion.

In the latest of the isolation releases comes in the shape of ‘Brain Buzz’. Set to be released on the 22nd of May, the EP is the latest release from local Melbourne producer Common Nocturne. The EP itself is a 3 part exploration that spans across a unique blend of electro, minimal, trance, and bass. 

The lead track, ‘Brain Buzz’, is track lead by high octane percussion and a dwindling buzz synth. The tracks lapses in action allow for the dreamy vocals to mature throughout the song before coming back in full swing with some heavy bass hits.

For the fifteenth Heat Rockers Records release, Ōtautahi (Christchurch) producer's Keanu Raves, and duo Toyota share big room, acid backed, Techno stompers. 

Building on the already robust original mixes, Tāmaki Makaurau producers Fray Mysterio and Amamelia provide their signature touches on the remixes. Fray pushes the acid on Keanu's 130 Waters to it's absolute growling limit, and Amamelia builds upon the percussive elements and space of Toyota's Acid Haus Music.

Another day, another excellent Irish release. Today we host the latest release from 'Spilt Milk Records', as we premiere one of the three tracks on this excellent EP, as Ryan Quinn aka Ocuin steps up with his track titled 'Gucci Pigies'.

Taking you straight to the stratosphere with crisp, echoed percussion ornamented with spacedust, Ocuin’s debut release ‘Gucci Piggies’ develops into a strong groove with a weaving bassline that ducks in and then out again. Punchy kicks and shimmering synths pay homage to Ocuin's early love of trance, with the great 'Xpander' making its presence known.
