Montreal’s JULES readies his debut EP ‘DELTA AJAX’ this May.

Inspired by Frank Hebert’s 1965 novel ‘Dune’, ‘DELTA AJAX’ is the first offering from Montreal-based DJ/producer JULES. Drawing from influences as broad as Italo, Miami Bass, UK Garage, Breaks, and more, the newcomer delivers an accomplished debut packed to the brim with glowing, colourful productions.

‘TOUT A FAIT’ opens with a wave of silky pads and dusty hats, unfurling into catchy analog leads and dense basslines. ‘MIAMI BREAKS’ leans towards its namesake for inspiration, bringing a dose of dreamy electro to the mix, complete with gorgeous synth flicks and dazzling effects.

Clocking in at 106 BPM, ‘CALX’ enters downtempo territories, utilising gated chords and reverb-soaked kits for a light and floaty chugger. Composed in the middle of 2020, ‘MISS U’ combines elements of 90’s 2-step and UK Garage with emotive chord progressions for a danceable yet melancholic cut, destined for eyes-closed moments at the end of the night.
